Last night π Linda was keeping our version of the score book and when the contest ended she had the Cavaliers scoring 62 points but the scoreboard was showing just 61. My wife is quite the perfectionist so she was quite upset with herself. I assured her that a quick trip to see Mr. Reitzel at the scorers table would fix everything.
Turns out that the answer was 62 after all so the point was added to the final score (62-33) after the fact. Davis Reitzel went to the free throw line in the fourth quarter to shoot two shots and the Senior calmly made both attempts but the second one was waved off because of a lane violation. It turns out that the first attempt never made it to the score board.
βThe only way the point would have made a difference is the rule that triggers a Running πββοΈ Clock β° in the 4th quarter if a lead hits 30.
As the Great Paul Harvey would say – “Now you know the Rest of the Story”.
βNext item up – Allen Worrell was in the building last night π so he will have a Gamer on The Carroll News so my effort on the game when lean more towards fun because there’s no need to have dualing stories out there.

Just remember that the 61 you saw last night π turned into 62.
