What would you do if you had a limited edition Coach Rick Nester Bobblehead Doll ? Treasure it or get even with it ?

The pose above was the one selected by our resident Celebrity Kris Richardson to serve as the initial Carroll County Bobblehead.

Coach Nester is my partner in the process of making things as fun as possible for his Student Athletes so when it was time to choose someone for the test run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ the decision was a No Brainer. But it turns out that the version of Coach that I teamed up with a couple of years ago isn’t the same one that others remember from days gone by.

The gentleman πŸ•΄οΈthat runs πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ the Bobblehead Hall of Fame is finishing up with a limited edition set of 100 that will be available soon. Our goal is to find FUN ways to attempt to raise funds for programs and could be more fun that imoratilzing a true Local Hero ?

Richardson was quick to point out that for every person who would treasure such a possession there would be two people that would use it for target practice. I refused to believe that the soft spoken Southern Gentleman that I truly enjoy working aside was ever anything less.

But then I started to ask around for people’s favorite Coach Nester story and it turns out Kris was on to something.

Then comes the Marketing thought process in me, let’s invite everyone that still holds a grudge down to the Softball Park and place one of the Bobblehead Dolls on second base where for a $10.00 donation a person will be given three Softballs at Home Plate and they Win a Prize package if they can knock Nester off the second base bag.

I myself would treasure my Doll and place it on my desk next to my Duke Blue Devils Mascot Doll.

Now for Kris’s take :

I think a throw to 2nd base will be almost impossible for 95% of people. The pitchers mound will be a more attainable feat PLUS more people would pay for a chance to hit Rick Nester in the face up close. We should make the reward that if you hit the bobblehead, then you get a real-life chance at the man, the myth, and the legend….

Now – Coach Nester :

“Some of them may throw their arms out, ha.”

Well, we have a different look outside this Morning πŸŒ„

The main thing that Marion Harris does to keep our train πŸš† moving down the tracks is searching Social Media for feel good postings that involve our Community. The guidelines are stil the same in that the message has to be 100% positive. Here are a few of them from over the weekend :

While the title reads Sports Report we are just as excited to run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ things about all of our Community activities!

The official CCHS Athletic Calender is blank today but both of our Swim πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ teams and JV Hoops are in the on deck circle πŸ”΅.
