Today is the Battle on US-52 as our Cavaliers head North to play Basketball πŸ€ at the Fort !

Both Jason Stockner and Anthony Barnes will lead their teams on to the floor this evening at Fort Chiswell High School 🏫. The path will be followed many a time later this month as both squads are slated to play in the Holiday tournament being held in the Wytheville suburb later this month.

The Varsity Pioneers enter tonight’s contest with a mark of 2-1 with all three contests being one sided affairs.

Defend the Fort is one of the classic High School tag lines out there and the Pioneers will try to do just that against a balanced attack led by Bryce Smoot and Davis Reitzel. Bryce is coming off a 20 point performance at Grayson County last time out as the Cavaliers look to move to 3-0 on the young season.

On the Junior Varsity side of the twin bill our Cavaliers(1-1) look to build on the victory over Grayson County (33-17). The team outscored the Blue Devils 13-2 in the third quarter to put the game away with Dane Leonard and Blake Reed leading the way.

The Pioneers JV squad is a perfect 3-0 with each margin of victory substantial – 32,26,34.

We will be in for a challenge on the front end tonight in regards to the JV contest so the Cavalier Faithful need to show up strong πŸ’ͺ.

Time will once again become a question as the action 🎬 is set to get underway at 6pm. The match up at Grayson County was listed the same way but ended up starting at 5:39.

Stay warm today and hopefully we’ll see you at The Fort.
