Addie Greene shines once again as JV Softball defeats James River 10-0 on another five inning No-Hitter
Six different Lady 👩 Cavaliers scored at least one run in support of Addie Greene’s latest master piece as Carroll County JV improved to 11-3 on the season.
James River sent 20 batters to the plate, 5 over the minimum but Greene made sure that none of them crossed home plate. The Knights loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the fourth on a pair of walks and a fielders choice but the Cavaliers defense turned a double play before Greene ended the rally with one of her nine strikeouts.
The lead was just 4-0 after three innings before CCHS plated five more in the home half of the fourth inning and then closed it out with the 10th run in the fifth inning.
The offense collected 14 hits in addition to 1 walk, 1 HBP and 2 more reached on an error. Natalie Burress went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and Greene aided her own cause by going 3 for 4 on a night 🌙 where all nine Cavaliers recorded at least one base hit.
Alexis Dalton’s team showed very little rust after not getting to play versus the last three opponents the Varsity played. They will look to continue their winning ways Monday night at Pulaski County.
