Practicing on the home courts in a light drizzle before heading up the Highway 🛣 to Virginia Tech, the first challenge of the day was getting to the Tennis 🎾 Center in Blacksburg. An accident on I-81 just past the needed exit created a traffic jam of major perportion, sending many a vehicle in search of an alternate route.

The Singles Championship is currently underway now with Lucas Beasley continuing with precision like ground strokes against his opponent.

11:30 – Beasley takes set #1…. and closes out the Singles Championship match.

Noon – Hidden Valley has defaulted due to an injury to one of its players, advancing the Cavaliers to the Championship Match and one win away from the State Tournament!

Abingdon vs. Christiansburg, winner gets Carroll County!

Down5-1 in the second set Abingdon extends the match by winning a second game.(1:31)

Top seeded Blue Demons advance at 1:35, 6-3. Short break then on to the finals at 2:10pm

Time to drive back to Campus for Softball

As the #3 seed you are expecting to square off with the #2 seed in your Semi-final match but that won’t be the case for Jabin Talley and Ethan Richardson today as the #7 seed upset #2 in straight sets last Friday.

The Cavalier Duo is looking to make some CCHS Tennis 🎾 history when they head back up to Blacksburg here in a few hours. If they win their Semi-final match they will more than likely run into the Top Seed from Christiansburg in the finals.

Semi 🚛 final play gets underway right after the Singles Finals concludes, with that match set for 11am.
