Alan Worrell was in the Park tonight so for the first time in 21 games I don’t have a true “Game Story” to write so here are just some thoughts and pictures

The last two photos πŸ“· are curtosey of Donna Nester!

Northside 000 100 0 – 1 3 0

Carroll County 000 000 0 – 0 1 1

Emma Leath limited the Vikings to just six total base runners πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ in yet another outstanding pitching performance. Northside pushed across the games lone run in the top of the 4th inning when the visitors combined a base on balls with the night’s only extra base hit. Leath finished up with another double digit strike out performance, ending the contest with 10 K’s.

Carroll County finished the season with a sparkling 17-4 mark with only one game where the opponent scored more than 2 runs. Twenty out of 21 outings limiting the other team to a pair of runs or less (Floyd County scored 5) is astonishing.

Head Coach Rick Nester will now look to replace the eight young Ladies that just graduated from CCHS when it comes to the 2023-2024 season.

The two remaining Student Athletes with more competition for the Cavaliers are recently graduated Elijah Smith and Freshman Corrie Delp. The State Track meet is set for Friday and Saturday at Liberty University.
