Bluefield pushed across seven unanswered runs 🏃♂️ late to turn a 4-0 lead into an 11-0 victory Tuesday afternoon in Bluefield. Our Golden Bears 🐻 return to action 🎬 this weekend up in Ohio.
West Virginia Tech University will return to action 🎬 next Friday.
The team will play a third and final game of the series Saturday in Midway, Kentucky.
Joe Goddard is a major part of our lives here at West Virginia Tech and unfortunately Coach was needed back in Beckley today. The move in locations created a situation where the game is not being live streamed so we need to keep Coach Joe in the know.

First pitch of Game 1 took place at 11:14am and Game 3 ended at 6:15pm, 421 minutes of live Baseball ⚾️.
21 innings out of 23 were played as the one game scheduled for 9 innings was called after seven due to the NCAA Mercy rule.
In those 21 innings, we witnessed 28 runs 🏃♂️ on 37 base hits and eight errors were committed.
Point Park won the day by sweeping two games by a total of 23-2.
West Virginia Tech University Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball ⚾️ split their two games.
Bluefield State dropped both of their games in completely different manners. One with the tying run being tossed out at the plate in the final inning (2-1) and being run ruled in the other (14-2).
Glass half full moment for our Nine came in the finale. Down 9-0, the Golden Bears 🐻 held the Pioneers scoreless in the 5th and 6th inning. This allowed the team to avoid the TKO by going the distance !
Point Point entered the day having not played a game this season. With that being said, they could be a tough out in their new league.
Another common thread in the games today is that Chuck McGill is in charge of crafting the message for the Mountain ⛰ East Conference. Another long-term relationship in a series of them as Bluefield State is now led by former Golden Bear 🐻 Scott Considine.
