Yes, Coach Dodson wins Basketball games at an alarming rate. Yes, Dodson is currently tied with Page County Softball Coach and close friend of mine, Alan Knight, with seven State Championships.

Yes, Dodson is a Page County High School Alum so that gives the Duo of Panthers grads a combined 14 VHSL titles.

Yes, Dodson is so cool that he gets to hang out with people like Dennis ” Preacherman ” Zimmerman.

Yes, Dodson took the time to write ✍ the Book 📖 Foreword for our book about Carroll County Girls Basketball, immediately following our dismantling his Trailblazers.

All of that makes me Proud to know him but it all takes a back seat 💺 to the fact that the Man has dedicated his ENTIRE adult life to those who face challenges!!!

Chris Dodson is the Northern version of our Vickey Ritchie, every day and all day. Except Chris is as tall as Vickey  Ritchie is small. A picture of those two side by side would be PRICELESS.

The World 🌎 needs more people like Vickey Ritchie and Chris Dodson and know that I feel blessed to now both of them !

Day 4 on The Road has quietly turned into Day 5 but the end is now in sight !

Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee were added to the Talley today. This brings the total for the trip up to 11 with a shot at it reaching 14.

Part of the next two hours will also be used to play catch up in regards to the 14 other events taking place today.

Let’s call 📞 this one : Practice what you Preach! Welcome 🙏 to Southern Utah University versus Brigham Young University in Gymnastics!

When your rallying cry is we are all in this together and each person counts equally ❤, sometimes you have to lead by example.

Neither Lin or I have ever attended a College Gymnastics meet before tonight but during our 90 Day Stay we have supported both Southern Utah University and Utah Tech. Tonight that spills over to the balance beam !

6:30 Start Time !!

First Note 📝 – the young Man in the ticket 🎟 office stated that only Football outdraws Gymnastics. I smiled back in his direction but wasn’t sure if he was pulling my leg.

The answer is No, he was not….

BYU will start on the uneven bars and SUU on the Vault.

6:39 – underway ! The teams alternate athletes on their side of the Gym

6:50 – The teams now switch over to compete in the event that the other team just completed.

Team Name – Flippin Birds 🐦!!!

7:09 – first two events are in the Books 📚!

Next up – BYU  to the floor, SUU to the beam.

7:35 – time to switch events again. The atmosphere in here borders on undescribable – Mad Energy !!

SUU is celebrating its third straight conference Championship as they unveiled the banner before hand ✋
