Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget for the Day :
Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

Proverbs 5:21For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings.

Our season opening Baseball ⚾️ trip to Tennessee has been moved from Friday and Saturday to Sunday and Monday as snow ❄ continues to make life difficult for many.

On the College level for Basketball we have three games that play a role in the night.

Alyssa Ervin and the Paladins host the only team to defeat them in conference play tonight when UT – Chattanooga comes to town. This game starts the second half of the SoCon schedule as March Madness is just around the corner.

Duke University at Louisville is a battle of unbeaten teams in the ACC. The KFC πŸ— Yum! Center should be a happening place at 7pm / 5pm.

After dueling Women’s Basketball showdowns, the night will conclude with a five mile drive πŸš— across town to see the Trailblazers Men host UT – Arlington.

Stay safe, stay warm and whenever possible, Stay kind !

Have yourself a Blessed Day πŸ™Œ

We will wrap things up with a smile πŸ˜ƒ guaranteed to brighten your Day !

Saved by the Bell πŸ””: The Cavalier College Years takes us inside some Gyms tonight and we look ahead to Thursday Night showdown and 1st place in the SoCon !!

Carroll County High School 🏫 currently has five former Cavaliers that have earned a roster spot at a College / University. Like everything else we take a look at, we try our best to treat the five as equal.

When the day began, four of the five were slated  to play on Wednesday night and then tomorrow night πŸŒ™, Alyssa Ervin and Furman University will play against UT – Chattanooga.

Bryce and Brayden Smoot play at Southwest Virginia Community College this season but Mother Nature πŸ‘© prevented that one from taking place. The school has already announced that they will be ending its Athletic Department at the end of the current school year.

Elijah Cox is the lone Junior in the group and will always be the very first player from an Anthony Barnes led team to move on to play at the next level.

Cox starts for the Randolph College Wildcats and they play in the ODAC. Tonight they came up short in North Carolina at Guilford College.

Cox logged 23 minutes, scoring four points and grabbing three rebounds. For most of the season the 6’5 Big averaged 10 points per game but that number has dropped just a smidgen as of late.

Katie Lam and Roanoke College recorded an ODAC victory against cross-town Hollins University. Lam did not have an opportunity to log minutes tonight but continues to work hard for her floor time.

Alyssa Ervin has scored in double figures in 17 of the Paladins 22 games and in her most recent outing hit the game winner at the buzzer which earned her a spot in the ESPN Top 10 list.

Five players = Five reasons to be proud !
