Carroll County High School to Ferrum College : This time its just a Family πŸ‘ͺ Thing as Kalee Bunn is set to leave and Callie Harris is the next Lady Cavalier to head East

As Kalee Bunn celebrated her Senior Day last weekend at Ferrum College, one of her cousins was in the crowd and as it turns out, Callie Harris will be replacing her kingolk on the Lady Panthers Volleyball roster next year.

Bunn is closing out an impressive four year run on the Ferrum campus. The class of 2022 graduate has kept busy from start to finish, combining Volleyball, education and working an internship.

Head Coach Shelbylynn Adair has enjoyed Bunn being on roster and was quick to point out the level of a person she has been coaching.

” Kalee’s impact on Ferrum Volleyball extends far beyond any stat sheet. Kalee sets the standard for hard work and discipline,” said Adair. ” Kalee has excelled in the classroom, on the court and in the community. She embodies our motto, not self but others. We are grateful Kalee and wish her the best of luck as she pursues her degree in teaching.”

Harris is the next in line in two regards as she is the third and final daughter of Marion and Sheila Harris to continue both her education and Athletic career at the collegiate level. Both of her older Sisters, Adrienne Harris McGuire and Natalie Harris attended Emory and Henry.

The larger pipeline involves Carroll County High School Volleyball Coach Cindy Edwards and current Assistant Coach Kayla Nester. Nester enjoyed a high level of success and there are some Basketball banners hanging in the Gymnasium as proof.

Edwards was on the staff of Rick Nester back in 2015 and the duo had three players land on Ferrum Mountain from the State Championship team. Cheyenne Strickland, Emily Cook and Tiffanie Moore each made the most of their time wearing the Panthers colors.

Kayla Goins, Emily Cook, Cheyenne Strickland, Tiffanie Moore and Kalee Bunn are some of the Lady Cavaliers that traded in The Hill for Ferrum Mountain β›° over the past decade. Miss Bunn is carrying a 4.3 GPA and her degrees will be a major in Elementary education and a minor in Special Education.

Dad πŸ‘¨ is quick to give the credit to Mrs. Bunn for the academic success of their daughter and Carroll County High School Head Coach Cindy Edwards was REAL quick to agree.
