Both Ferrum (Miss Bunn) and the Golden Bears 🐻 of WVU-T have a victory today and we still have Ferrum (2pmish) hosting Carolina University and here on the campus of Duke University we have the Blue Devils hosting the Kansas University Jayhawks at 3pm.

Let’s go back for a moment to the Lady 👩 Cavaliers and the trip to Glade Springs – it has been pushed back one week to next Saturday.

Kalee Bunn and her Ferrum VB teammates made sure that the fans leaving Swartz Gymnasium Friday night 🌙 went home with smiles on their faces, defeating Mary Baldwin 3-1.

Head Coach Shelbylynn Adair guided her team to a 25-22, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-17 victory to start the regular season on a positive note 📝.

There will be very little time for Ferrum to rest on their laurels after the Friday night match as they are set to host Warren Wilson at 10am and Carolina University at 2pm on Saturday. The two visiting schools will play a match versus each other at Noon, giving each team two matches on the day.

Kalee Bunn is beginning her Junior season at Ferrum and we will do our best to keep an eye 👁 on her and her team throughout the season.

Every time I pickup my Android S9 to type out a story I have to ask myself who is my intended audience ???

This morning I was finishing up my overnight work responsibilities when my phone dinged and it was the Middle School 🏫 Volleyball 🏐 coach reaching out.

This was exciting to me because it meant we had reached another person who might be able to move the needle a smidgen. Now becomes the question – who will care ❤ that we now might be able to share some pics and thoughts about Middle School Volleyball 🏐 ? Thank You if you raised your hand ✋…

Will the parents know to look ? Can it lead to others getting the concept 💡?

When your “cause ” is humanity and kindness, people simply don’t flock to join up in part because its not what the “Cool Kids Do “. Its okay to stand up for what you believe in and you have to shake off the feeling of isolation at times. Chase what you believe and leave the rest in God’s Hands.

Every parent is proud of their Children and they work hard to provide for them. Everyone wants what’s best for their Children and this is how it should be. I had five Children along the way so I feel confident in typing that out.

Just to continue the thought process about trying to guess what folks care enough about to read, Lin and I are set to have a very busy yet very fun weekend.

Tomorrow afternoon on The Rock its Alumni Day and we are celebrating the naming of the Field – Dr. Jan C Watson Field and then we will play Towson in Field Hockey 🏑.

The second that the game is over we will zip across the Tar Heel State for the season opener of Duke University Football 🏈 (vs Elon). Kickoff is 7:30.

Saturday was set to be Volleyball 🏐 Day down at Glade Springs with the Lady 👩 Cavaliers but that has been pushed back one week. Needing to fill the Volleyball 🏐 void, we will support our second favorite VB team as Duke hosts Kansas at 3pm inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Sunday morning 🌄 its back over to Boone to announce more Field Hockey 🏑 as we (App State) welcome Georgetown. This will be followed by a check in on two other projects that are near and dear to us, one in North Carolina and one in South Carolina.

It would be easy to write ✍ 5,000 words on the weekend but once again, not sure who would enjoy reading it. I know that every part of the weekend is highly important to us but does that transfer over to others?

Here’s one more example of one that I would think would be a blast. I recently found out that Eddie Walls and Anthony Barnes raced stock cars 🚗 against each other. I find this fascinating and would love 💘 to spend some time discussing it with the both of them. Not sure where the level of interest would be ?

Easy answer is – because it is for Someone !
