Top to bottom, Tauren Wells will be performing at a Church in Greensboro that seats 💺 3,000 and we will get to meet him before the performance.

Lower – Stephen Puckett, standing 🧍♂️ next to Tammy Quesenberry in this photo 📷, is about to preach his Sermon at the Chapel 💒 on the corner.
Today we will spend time with three pretty Awesome people ! Who says that you shouldn’t meet your heroes?
Have yourself a Blessed Day ! And Thank You Cindy Edwards for your assistance this morning with the story on Aza Petty. 💘
Good seeing you today. Little bit about today. The VA Surge 14U Leath travel softball team hosted a couple of teams from Dobson for a few games at Carroll County High School along with some great fellowship.
The games were set up in a game atmosphere but were used as learning experiences for all teams as the games were stopped as needed by coaches to explain situations and correct mistakes along the way. This team is made up of a core group of seven players from Carroll County.
We also have girls from Grayson, Floyd, Fort Chiswell, George Wythe and Rural Retreat. Our goal for this team is to see the girls learn and understand the game of softball, continue to improve while having fun. I guess we are also building that future core for Coach Rick Nester 😁.
We enjoyed a fun day on the field while having a local face, Hix Miller do the umpiring duties for us while getting a visit from one of our biggest local supporters, Mr. Jerry Carter. We appreciate everyone that came and watched and supported these young ladies. We will keep you posted on the season.
Trenton Miller was right at Home on Saturday morning as the young man stood inside the house that his Community built and continues to build.
Today was the 18th Annual Fund raising Auction at the Island Creek Mennonite Church and School. The room was filled to the brim with people who were doing whatever needed to be done for the betterment of the Day.
Trenton attended the School for the duration of his education and has spent his entire life in and around the property. After our initial conversation we took a tour of the Church and the School.
The two hours was enlightening from beginning to end because it included everything that I feel we need more of, inclusion sitting at the lead. Everyone who desired to participate was given the opportunity to do so and it was all done through the path of Volunteering! See pillar #2 of the 3 that hold our beliefs at OneofUs.Care…
The Mennonite community has been conducting business in this manner from the beginning and getting to witness it all was special, to say the least.
The number of people involved in the process from start to finish was well into the hundreds and everything just seemed to have a flow to it. The fact that there was that level of focus to the event is a testimonial of the level of dedication.
Vickey Ritchie ends every session of Carroll County Special Olympics Basketball with the group getting together, forming a circle and saying ONE TEAM. That sure looked that way this morning and WHAT A TEAM it appeared to be.

It’s over now in Tennessee – Ashlyn Newman clocked 14 minutes of action 🎬 as Union University falls 4-1 to Carson Newman.
EMU just finished up with a 5 set thriller, falling just short at the end (15-9).

It’s gone Final up in Salem
That concludes our Where are they now coverage for Saturday !
Every Saturday, especially when its comes to the Fall, always seems to be overflowing with opportunities to surround myself with quality people.
Last night 🌙, for the second straight week, Duke played their Football 🏈🏈🏈 game on Friday night. This meant that Saturday was wide open to opportunities to recharge the batteries a bit. Choices were everywhere and the first story of the day listed most of the options.
My World 🌎 has more than a few people in it named Travis and I knew that two of them would be getting together down at Cavalier Park.
The young Lady 👩 sitting on the bucket (Baseball / Softball thing) is the Daughter of Mr & Mrs Travis Leath as Emma is the pitching coach on her Dad’s staff. Big Sis is on the staff as well.
The young Lady on the mound is the Daughter of Mr & Mrs. Travis Osborne.
Virginia Surge Softball is their travel team and they combine their efforts to try and teach our Youth the game of Softball. Their were plenty of folks in attendance, watching 👀 their daughters or granddaughters play the game that continues to grow in popularity and the weather was great as well.
I will be the first to admit that trying hard to get folks to appreciate one another and embrace 🙏 kindness ❤ 24/7 takes its toll on a person. God puts people like Travis Osborne in your life so you can charge the Soul when the batteries are low.
Noon Kickoff for the ” Game of the Year” in Ann Arbor, could have stayed home and watched it or for that matter went to The Big House to watch in live (Would have been rooting for Texas). But the reality is neither of those two options would have made me a Better Person afterwards.
Sometimes people are searching for Miracles and signs of inspiration but don’t stop to embrace the people that are already in their lives.
One of the teams visiting was from Dodson, North Carolina and that is realivent because soon it will be time to start making trips down there to watch Miss Emma pitch for Surrey Community College.
During the four years of residing in Carroll County it has been a struggle to get people to read about Positive things if it doesn’t directly effect them. I realize that I have backed away from what I actually hold near and dear to my Heart ❤, what the purpose of my writing ✍ is – not to gain popularity or fame, but to pursue the Greater Good.
Couldn’t tell you who won, who lost and who made the Big Play today. But I can tell you that Travis & Travis (TNT) and their friends spent their day doing for others and I feel blessed 🙌 to have shared in the moment 🙏
Shawn Montgomery just sent in the Cross Country race results to let me get to it.
