On your left is Carleigh Wright and on your right is Sophomore Ali Wright. Both of these young Ladies are currently playing in Cindy Edwards Volleyball π program. Carleigh is on the Middle School team led by Coach “K” while Ali plays on the Varsity team.
The bus π from Carroll County should be arriving any minute now as 4:00 pm is upon us. The showers πΏ have been hit and miss with blue skies currently sitting above Floyd County High School.
Carroll County Middle School π« will kickoff the triple header here at the bottom of the hour and we will do our best to share equal light on all three matches.
Just a couple of fun takes that broke up the drive π over.
Varsity here banging the Bleachers for the Kiddos !!

Floyd County closes out a well played 25-20 victory at 5:28 pm.
Coach K checks β in with her thoughts on their match.
” The Middle School continues to learn. Tonightβs loss was a hard one for them because they made some mistakes that they knew they had already learned not to do, but their spirits were still good and we just continue to take one step at a time to grow and learn this game. It was incredibly useful for them all to stay and watch the JV positions.
We watched as they found their player on JV playing their position and their minds began to grow as they watched them play out their transitions and skills. It truly is a beautiful thing to watch young players begin to connect the dots in this game.”
Thank You Coach !
Twenty Minutes back on the Clock β°, JV first serve estimated by 5:55
Earlier today we wrote about a Volleyball π double header at Floyd County High School π« but it turns out that all 3 of the Volleyball teams will be playing against the Buffalo π!
Here is your opportunity to see the entire stable of Carroll County Volleyball π players in one venue. Great amount of Volleyball to be played for the price of just one ticket π….
Coach K, Coach Petty and Coach Edwards will all be around. Let’s not forget about their Assistant Coaches and of course the 40 or so young Ladies that wear the Cavalier colors!
Four hours of Volleyball to be played, give or take a few minutes!
Ferrum traveled tonight up to Lexington for a match with the always tough Washington and Lee. The Panthers came out on the short end (3-0) of the scoreboard but that’s not uncommon for visitors that enter the Generals Den.
We want to fast forward π just a moment to October 30th. Eastern Mennonite University is making the trek down from Harrisonburg to face the Lady Panthers.
Β This means we will have a former Cavalier on both teams and while I am not going to guess on the number of times this has taken place over the past 50+ years, I will guess that’s in single digits.
Β Both Coach Edwards and I are planning to attend the match that night π and are question is this – who else reading this would be interested in joining the Party π₯³. I think its a Big Deal and Coach agrees but neither of us know where the interest goes beyond us.
Β Feel free to let either of us know if you would be interested in joining us for a night of Lady Cavalier versus Lady Cavalier….
Β Thank You to the Bunn family πͺ for the update tonight !
