Mr Ron Cochran has a Wing Man ( person) down at Omega Office 🏒 and he might have met his match. We are ready to announce the changes / tweaks to the Omega / OneofUs.Care Softball foul ball contest !

Ron Cochran and Shiang-ling Bissonnette

Ron Cochran has wore many hats in our efforts to help folks get the word out and my favorite part of our relationship has been his quick wit and dry sense of humor.

We reconnected at the Special Olympics Basketball Classic πŸ€ as I was hosting and he was the ” Lead Official “. Both Ron and I are card carrying members of the Vickey Ritchie Fan Club and do whatever we can to assist her in any manner we can.

When I stopped by the shop today to discuss changes I wanted to make to our kickoff for our Foul Ball contest, I had my very first conversation with Mrs Bissonnette. First thing to know is how to correctly pronounce her first name and here’s what we worked out. Shiang-ling should be said as Shawn – G – ling.

Second thing to know, this young Lady πŸ‘© has it going on ! Sharp as the day is long and is willing to give it back to Ron. See, Ron needs that in his work life and now he has it. The focus and mindset of Mrs Bissonnette is going to take her places and her efforts, like ours are centered around making life better for youth !

We will now have three nightly sponsors for our Foul Ball contest and here is the breaking news to the biggest change.

The system we were using prior to next Wednesday was to include the first 26 fans who bought a ticket 🎟. It dawned on me that we were leaving out on diehard fans, the ones that have ” Season Tickets ” or as they are called – Passes.

This year, we will have a separate document with numbers from 0 to 25 on it and it will go to the first 26 people who enter Cavalier Park ! You do have  to be present to win at the end of the night but if you do, you will leave with a CCHS custom T-shirt πŸ‘•, a OneofUs.Care Frisbee  βž• an item from The Goods !!!

Stephen Puckett and Travis Osborne are teaming up to help make the Middle School 🏫 Softball dugouts shine !

Any day that allows me to make reference to both Stephen Puckett and Travis Osborne in the same story is a great one in my World 🌎.

Cutting across The Hill on my drive back from West Virginia, I ran into Travis on a ladder and with his work clothes on. Sadly, I cost him some daylight as we swapped a few stories about life. He mentioned that when he reached out to Mr. Puckett to confirm the proper colors, the answer he received was, ” If you are willing to donate your skill set, I will provide you with the paint. “

It was time to get back to Laurel Fork in order to get Lin to her next appointment so we said our Goodbyes πŸ‘‹ with the promise that I would swing back and capture his artwork !

While this might not ring the bell for most pepeople, know its a OneofUs.Care type of moment….

Wednesday March 11th looks to be a day for the Diamond πŸ’Ž as three of the four Cavalier teams are set to play their second scrimmage…

Morning πŸŒ„ Brew
We need to add Varsity Softball to the list as they have moved up their practice at Bassett to this afternoon.
Howard Mayo and his Motovational Nugget for the Day :
Travis Osborne and his Bible Verse of the Day :

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Fun Note πŸ“ from the Men’s Basketball tourneys yesterday – three former Duke players each extended their season and coaching stays with victories.

Bobby Hurley and Arizona State defeated Baylor  in the Big 12 to improve to 17 – 15. This victory should also sew up a NIT bid.

Jeff Capel and Pitt snuck past Stanford University 64 – 63 to keep afloat in the ACC.

Each of the trio is coaching for their jobs and get another day !

Chris Collins and Northwestern got passed Penn State 76 – 66 in the Big 10

Time to finish up the drive back from Charleston now so I will leave it with – Have a Blessed Day πŸ™ŒπŸ™
