Home 🏡 date 5 of 16 for our Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball team is up in the State Capitol within sight of the Golden Dome. What was called Power Park forever is now Go Mart Park.

It’s always a treat to announce when it takes place in a professional Stadium 🏟, as will be the case today for our Mid Week date.

Hopefully we will see some photos 📷 from Cavalier Park tonight 🙏 and we are set for the season opener next Wednesday versus Galax High School

Lake Taylor was set to be my High School when Dad was stationed in Tidewater and then we bought our first home across town and I attended Norview. Princess Anne would have been the Senior year but retirement took us to the Midwest.

Skyline High School has a Grandson of ours and Luray was home for a long time and three Granddaughters are set to attend there. Don Ehlers is still the Athletic Director there and has double duty with both teams in the building.

Clarke County, Handley and Central Woodstock were both schools that I covered for the Northern Virginia Daily.

Fort Chiswell and Galax are our neighbors and Abingdon is representing our Region.

We played Hampton every year at Norview and the Crabbers were always loaded with talent.

We played at Green Run High School their very first season in existence (1979-1080).

I think that is 14 out of 22, some with serious connections. So there will be some scoreboard watching 👀 later this week !
