First it was Swimming and Wrestling with trips to STATE but just when you thought Winter competition was over, our 🧠 at MACC said, ” Not So Fast “!!!!

The Western Tournament for MACC took place Thursday night and for those who don’t follow the program it is comparable to a Regional tournament or better yet, the State semifinals if you were looking at Basketball.

We are able to attempt to format a story this morning 🌄 about the event because Kristy ” Trenton’s Mom 👩” Jones took the time to corral the information for us!

Let’s see 👀 if we can do it justice ⚖

ENGLISH :

Carroll English was seeded #5 & took out #4 Bland in the 1st elimination round winning 35-23!

   English was defeated in the semi-finals against #1 seed George Wythe in a very close match 50-35.

All – Around :

Carroll All Around seeded #1  defeated #8 George Wythe in the 1st elimination round, final score 73-50!

All Around won their semi-final round against Rural Retreat 58-40 & are moving on to the finals!

THEY DID IT! TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS CARROLL COUNTY ALL AROUND!

This was probably the closest I have ever come to having a heartattack! The score was 56-60 Grayson & Trenton buzzed in early with the answer. The judges took forever to give us the points making it 61-60. Then Bradley Dalton rang in early with the last question & the boys won 66-60!!!!

Carroll Science has made it to the finals!

Carroll County Science wins the tournament right at the very end! They are going to Super MACC!

Social Studies :

Carroll County Social Studies has made it to the finals!

In a narrow defeat Carroll County social studies lost to Grayson 80-63 BUT are still qualified for Super MACC!
