Looking back on a Tuesday night against Floyd County, one game at a time. Starting with our JV Girls falling 29 -19 @ Floyd…

Now 7 – 2 on the season

I am not sure how many times over my six years in Carroll County that we played four Basketball games and were swept by our opponent. Tuesday night we went 0 for Floyd County and while it would be easy to just say, glad thats over and move on.

But our players still played hard, our Coaches were doing their best and the parents were in the stands cheering their Kiddos on. It wasn’t all for not and I will do my best to point out the bright spots.

CCHS – Rylee Woodard 10, Milli Parker 5, Malei Parker 4.

Opening Jump

Playing their second game without having Kate Holderfield in the lineup dueย  to an ankle injury, Carroll County faced a much more aggressive team than Cave Spring on Monday night

Rylee Woodard scored the first basket ๐Ÿงบ on her way to a team high 10 points on the opening possession but Floyd scored the remaining points in the 7 – 2 frame.

Milli Parker drilled a 3-pointer to get Carroll County to within 8-5 but that would prove to be as close as the Lady Cavaliers would get to the Buffaloes.

Another highlight being Carroll County closed out the game on a 6-0 run, including pitching a shutout across the final 7:00.

Carroll County returns to action ๐ŸŽฌ Friday night in the Bobcats den at 5:30 pm.
