Carroll County JV Girls πŸ‘§ Basketball πŸ€ roll over Mount Airy in their Christmas πŸŽ„ tournament opener, 31 -3.

The Hill – Carroll County Junior Varsity surrendered an early basket 🧺 to visiting Mount Airy Saturday afternoon but it would turn out to be the only one of the game as our Coach Cushman led Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers improved to 3 – 0 on the season with a 31 – 3 victory.

Instead of playing four six or seven minute quarters, the teams played two 15 minute halves with a 10 minute break and CCHS was equally dominant in both sessions, winning 17 – 2 and 14 – 1.

Coach Cushman took the time to offer her thoughts on the tremendous effort she received from her entire roster.

” The girls secured another W tonight. This is such a fun group to coach. I can’t let the night go without commending these ladies on their defense, holding Mt. Airy to only 3 points the entire game.

We struggled with help side our first game of the season, but we took that to practice and executed it well tonight. Rylee Woodard had an excellent defensive game. Kate Holderfield continues to be a leader on the court. Madison Adkins came off the bench looking to score and you just can’t ask for better effort from the team.”
