Going to file this one under the ” Great Minds Think Alike ” heading ! Kris Richardson took the time to type out what I was thinking about his home game versus Christiansburg Monday night…

“The scoreboard doesn’t show all the stats. I know that the win/loss column is what most people base your success on. There is definitely more to overall growth than winning.

Β Β Β  We keep improving every game. We lost by 28 last time we played them and only lost by 9 tonight. We made them earn every basket that they made. Our effort level was high and our defensive intensity was great. We are on the final 8 games of our season. Improvement will continue to be made as we strive to be better every day. Thanks!”

As Beth Bouldin was sending me updates and pictures from the Girls πŸ‘§ Middle School game yesterday, I couldn’t help but think about the first game between the two teams. We do live in a World 🌎 where winning is the only thing that some folks care about but I was proud of the effort πŸ‘ that Coach Richardson had received from his young Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers.

But I do my best not to speak before the coaches are given the opportunity. Now that Kris has sent in his response I can comfortably say – Coach saw πŸ‘€ the exact same thing

Six different Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers dented the score sheet…

Briley McGhee led the way with 8 points

Zari Cushman dropped five points

Raegan Combs tallied four points

Maddie Carico drained a 3-pointer

Natalie Dalton made a Basket 🧺

Kadence Eades added a free throw…

The younger Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers hit the road tonight, heading over to Rural Retreat before taking their Thanksgiving Break.
