We are all in this together β€ !
Stories to follow, between now and the Duke University Women’s Basketball game tomorrow night at 8pm over in Tampa…
Let’s end it with the thoughts of Kris Richardson on his Win tonight….
” Finally, I’m home before 10 pm and finally we got a victory. Hats off to these girls for continuing to work hard. Perseverance pays off when you believe in the process and believe in each other. Great overall team win. We play tomorrow at home against Radford.”
Brandy Smith shared two pics tonight with Beth Bouldin !!! Love when others jump on board….
Cushman scored 10 of her game high points in the third quarter as Carroll County turned a 16-9 deficit into a 26-25 lead with 6:00 left to play.
Patrick County rallied late in the game to earn the hard fought victory, leaving CCMS Head Coach Kris Richardson with dualing thoughts about the efforts he received from his team.
” We continue to play hard but we just cant seem to turn it into wins,” said Richardson. ” We were down 6 most of the game before we tied it up with around 3 minutes left. Too many mental mistakes late in the game along with shooting 6-21 from the free throw line. We look to continue to improve.”
Cushman had plenty of company in the scoring column as six other Lady Cavaliers scored at least two points. Kierra Robinson was next with five points, Briley McGhee netted four while both Jenna Bowman and Natalie Dalton added three each. Both Maddie Carico and Macy Lineberry finished up with 2 points.
The team will return to action π¬ on Wednesday at Scott Memorial Middle School in Wytheville.
