Things we will keep an eye π on this evening – Kalee Bunn and Ferrum College play Volleyball π east of Raleigh, The Smoot Brothers play basketball π over at Southwest Virginia Community College and on The Hill it will be the final regular season game for Seth Greer and the Cavaliers.

Lin and I will be soaking in the Ocean Air but will happily share any updates or pics sent our way!
Go Lady Panthers !

Go Flying Eagles !

Go πππ Cavaliers !!

Thank You to Greg Talley for checking in with the update.
Macie Adkins, Jabin Talley and current Flying Eagles, Brayden and Bryce Smoot are four recent Carroll County High School graduates π that followed the further education trail over to Cedar Bluff. While the upcoming change will not effect Adkins or Talley, it does guarantee that this season will be the final one for both of the Smoot Brothers.
The business of Athletics is a great challenge, even at the Community College level. I applaud the effort in trying hard to make this work and the willingness to realize that its time to accept that the timing is not right.
Carroll County High School will lose an option for its Student Athletes to compete going forward. One that had recently provided four graduates an opportunity to play at the next level.

Both the Boys π¦ and Girls π§ teams are in the middle of playing six games inside of five days so its a challenge to gather everything one needs to create two game stories.
Information is needed from a number of sources and everyone is doing well to keep moving forward. Over the next few hours we will gather up information and pictures to create a story that will match the efforts put forth last night π.
Let’s start with the Box Scores :

Next up – pictures from Beth Bouldin and the thoughts from both Carroll County coaches β building a story around all of it. Stay Tuned..

Next thing to add to the mix is the thoughts of Kris Richardson :
” Things didn’t end the way we wanted it to last night. Our team continues to play extremely hard, but we just can’t get the basketball in the goal. Our hard work will pay off soon. We continue to improve daily, and that’s all you can ask for as a coach.”

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

All sorts of coverage from the Middle School π« Basketball π games to format here in a bit. Both the Boys and the Girls games came down to the wire…
Have yourself a Blessed Day π
