Head Coach Rick Nester decided to turn his annual Father – Daughter Softball game into a fun game of Kickball using the same format. Junior Varsity Coach Terry Warf and Assistant Varsity Coach Travis Leath were also enjoying their roles as Co – Hosts.

Foul weather on Monday evening pushed the teams together and it could not have turned out any better for all involved !

Let’s circle 🔵 back to Hix Miller and his Tim Allen impersonation. Coach Nester had me positioned upstairs with the 🎤🎙🎤 but it simply wasn’t needed to make the evening a much needed Laughathon.

  Joy was the goal for the evening and it overflowed, from start to finish! If Hix Miller was Tim Allen, then Glenn Burnett was Wilson from Home Improvement.

The game was won 🏆by the combination of Young and Old, by a lone run 🏃‍♂️. Burnett attributed that to the fact that older people grew up without Cellphones, so Kickball was a part of life, back in the day.

 

Trace Reavis finished up with a 79 to claim the Medalist honor 🎖 but there were plenty of Cavaliers and Cougars in close pursuit.

Four of the counting scores were 83, leading to the tight finish, 329-330.

The next stop ✋ is the Regional tournament at Draper Valley on Monday, October 6th.

Congratulations 👏👏👏 on finishing up the regular season with a victory on the home course !

Over 200 goals in this picture for CCHS!!!!

Karmen Smith was in Bluefield, West Virginia today, along with her Bruins teammates for a match against Bluefield State. This led to a reunion for the ages amongst Lady Cavaliers Soccer ⚽️ greats!

Bluefield University shares the Soccer Park with Bluefield State and then the Harris Dad 👨 / Daughter Duo made the short drive up from The Hill !

The game ended in a Nil – Nil draw….
