Next step, I will send this to Coach Kinney and hopefully π we can add some of her thoughts !
From Coach Kinney :
Jerry-
Iβm writing this post from Leesburg. After the game tonight, I headed straight out to a two day training in Ashburn, VA. Iβm teaching a college class in the spring and needed this.
I thought our girls fought well tonight. That second game, was a true version of their best selves⦠happy & playing volleyball & winning.
I told our girls tonight Iβm continuing to hold them to the βpass-set-hitβ standard and most of the time we are executing that well to be a team of middle school girls!
You can see tonight serving is one of the most important (if not the most important) parts of volleyball. I thought we did a much better job at this than normal. Iβm so proud of our girls for their performance!!
During the third set, we lost our composure a little bit and stopped having fun. Our score reflected that.
However, these girls are working hard. They are looking for feedback and they want to be successful.
Iβm leaving them in the hands of the amazing Coach Kelly, Coach Nester, and Coach Heflin! Iβll be watching (and wishing) I could be on the sidelines with them tomorrow night for Radford.
Each Player on both Squads gets to choose the folks they want on the floor with them.. Friends, Teachers, Family πͺ members or anyoneΒ who has been a positive influence in their lives !
After 1 month of road matches, the Junior Varsity and Varsity return home for two more matches.
Next to Last – the four Seniors will control the invite list on Pink Night π.
Last – Senior Night will belong to the Family members of Brooke Webb, Corrie Delp, Laiken Burnett and Callie Harris!
