Leading off with members of our Chorus, under the guidance of Patricia Lineberry, performing our National Anthem ! The fun starts Saturday afternoon at High Noon !

Cavalier Park

Β  We are long time fans of Mrs Patricia Lineberry and her ever so talented group of performers, so we are over the Moon πŸŒ™ excited about some of those Singers are coming over to perform our National Anthem !

There will be a total of three Music 🎢 related performances 🎭 during the opening minutes of the afternoon and we believe that each of the three will hit their mark.

The second one, is the one that we will be keeping under wraps until Saturday afternoon. The close out number will include a cast of 5 Men doing their Best in performing the theme song 🎡 of the Day, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

David Broyles, Greg Bolen, Rick Nester, Kevin Burress and myself will do our very best to lighten the mood, if you will.

Mr Huff will greet the crowd after Mr. Davidson introduces our new Superintendent !

Carroll County High School Sophomore, Dakota Walls will have his Stock Car πŸš— on hand βœ‹ for the afternoon and Velvet Creed Leonard will be capturing our Red Carpet Fashion show with 14 Lady Cavaliers involved.

One more reason for folks to stop βœ‹ by Cavalier Park on September 13th is we are sending out Plucky Sidekick David Broyles in style 😎 !

David Broyles has been at The Carroll News for just over a decade now and next month he will sail β›΅ off into the Sunset πŸŒ‡.

Β  Before he says his final goodbye πŸ‘‹, David has signed on to dawn a costume for a Musical 🎼 number at Cavalier Park!

David is seen above with co-worker, Caysee, who is adamant about attending the performance 🎭 !

🎢🎡πŸͺ•πŸŽΌ #3 – starring Mr David Broyles and the Pips !

Saturday, September 13th is just right around the Corner now ! Here’s what we can tell you ahead of time…

The easiest way to set the table for Saturday afternoon at Cavalier Park is to break it down into three sections.

Leading off, from Noon to 1:00 pm, we will look to entertain you with a number of special guests and good natured fun !

The second part of the Afternoon will center around our tweaked Home Run Derby. Last year, the Home Run Derby was fast pitch and while there were some great cuts, there was a shortage of balls leaving the field. This year, there are two added changes with the first one being the pitches will be Slow Pitch and the second change being that any Alumni competing in the Derby can choose to Phone a Friend if you will, by sharing their 10 cuts with a Family member.

Following the conclusion of the revamped Home Run Derby, the actual Softball game will take place !

Before the start, Tiffanie Moore will throw out our Ceremonial First Pitch.

Travis Leath and his Travel Softball team will be running the Concession Stand from start to finish.

Β  The players signed up to compete include Katie Belton, Emma Leath, Carlie Beamer, Macie Adkins, Jordan Brown, Eustaica Smith, Autumn Salts, Deana Burcham, Joclyn Gallimore, Hannah Bourne, Alyssa Nunn, Rachel Jaynes and Rebecca Harris.

As we move closer to Saturday afternoon, we will focus on the opening 60 minutes !
