
The final score will show that visiting Marion swept the Lady Cavaliers 2-0 in Non-District action π¬ Wednesday night but Nikki Heflin and her Lady π© Cavaliers sure made Marion High work for the Opening set.
Marion led 21-15 and appeared to be well on their way to an easy victory in the opening set. Carroll County broke through on a 7-0 run behind the serving of Ashton Rodrigue. The Lady Cavaliers were suddenly leading 22-21 but could not find the knockout punch.
The teams were tied at every point between 22 and 39 before the Hurricanes π finally strung together the winning points in the 31-29 π nailbighter.
Β In the second set the visitors strung together runs πββοΈ of 7-0 and 10-0 on their way to a 25-7 victory.
The Junior Varsity Lady Cavaliers return to action π¬ Thursday night when Glenvar visits The Hill.
