Yesterday afternoon was spent trying to frame Volleyball 🏐 while watching Volleyball, today its time to focus on the Boys 👦 (+ Girl 👧) Cross Country team(s).  !

First, we start out with the portion of the Fall Sports tab, put together by the hard working Allen Worrell 💪.

Then we add in some color photos 📷 received from ” Mom “.

Cross Country is coached by Mr Shawn Montgomery and if West Long has the hardest job on The Hill as our Wrestling Coach, then Montgomery has the loneliest.

Football 🏈 is King 🤴 in the Fall and then you have a dozen or so playing golf. After those two rosters are filled. This season we have four Boys and one Girl competing for Carroll County High School.

In the Black and White photo you have Coach Montgomery, Alex Elepan, Amelia Forsyth, Trenton Newman, Parker Dunn and Will Dalton.

Young Mr Newman is as busy as it gets at the High School level, or it appears that way. Smart and willing would be two easy words to use in describing him.

Miss Forsyth has the honor of being the sole One Man Band or more correctly, One Woman Band as she is the sole member of a Varsity team.

Seeing a Dalton and a Montgomery together is a natural thing as the teachers (Shawn and Shannon) work down the hall from each other. So its a Family 👪 thing for Will Dalton to be running 🏃‍♂️for Coach.

  Alex and Parker round out the group and it will be a goal to be able to add at least one personal tidbit about both young men before the season ends.

Coach has 15 Middle School runners so there’s hope for the Future in regards to having a full squad.

One Coach, 20 runners 🏃‍♂️spread across what is four teams and one program at the same time.

Cross Country returns to action 🎬 on September 6th at Cave Spring !
