What does the tagline, Encouraging the World 🌎 One person at a time mean ?

Why does a person write ✍? There is no set answer that covers the topic but I can tell you why I write and the Answer lines up with our theme at OneofUs.Care.

This morning πŸŒ„, I woke up way to early and spent 90 minutes crafting a story about opening night of Volleyball 🏐 season. The goal was to make a few people smile, maybe even add some validation to their day.

I don’t create a By Line for my work, so I’m not trying to become famous. The story is available for Free so I’m clearly not trying to get Rich. I don’t put it on Social Media so I’m not searching for Facebook likes.

The story was incredibly fun to create and it was designed for a small umber of people and we will list them as if they were on a Volleyball court.

Team #1 – Cindy Edwards, Sarah Alderman, her Parents, Marion Harris and Mama Petty.

Team #2 – our four Seniors – Brooke Webb, Corrie Delp, Laiken Burnett and the young lady that I refer to as Half Pint, Callie Harris. Add in Rose 🌹 and Cheyenne Strickland, if they were to stumble upon it.

Since I hit Post πŸ“« at 4:30 am, I have received messages from Coach, Sarah, Mr Alderman and Marion Harris. Not going to share them because each one was personal but its safe to say that Encouraging people happened today !

Tonight, Head  🏐 Coach Cindy Edwards begins yet another season of Lady Cavs πŸ‘© Volleyball and yesterday presented an unexpected surprise in how to roll out Opening Night πŸŒ™

Just incase you found this Post πŸ“« before the story !

Coaching the Boys team in the Staff versus Staff Basketball πŸ€ showdown : Ethan Richardson and Davis Reitzel……

When I first started having fun with this idea πŸ’‘, it picked up momentum in a hurry ( at least in my head). Crossing paths with friend and neighbor, Kris Richardson last week, we had a few minutes of fun with the topic.

Β  Basketball is the only sport at the High School level where you could actually hold a regulation game with just the coacing staffs. The skill level of some of the players makes it interesting to see πŸ‘€what it would look like.

Β  When I approached Howard Mayo about the idea, our Veteran Girls Coach replied, ” That WOULD have been a fun game,”would as in past tense.

Howard Mayo πŸ’‚β€β™‚οΈπŸ’‚β€β™€οΈπŸ’‚β€β™‚οΈ guarding Anthony Barnes in the middle, with Greg Bolen as the one with the whistle would make the day on its own. Bolen would offer the classic line, No Blood – No Foul when contact was made.

Kris Richardson checking his Best Bud, Jason Stockner would be fun to both watch and here.

Brandi Cochran Mitchell going again newcomer to the Coaching ranks, Cody Reece. Ryan Phillips versus Kayla Nester would make the day for Paul Nester and the Family πŸ‘ͺ.

There would be a photo of the Girls coaches if I had one where Kaylee Easter and Lauren Alley were sitting side by side.

Advantage to the Ladies in regards to the 4-0 tally in Rings πŸ’ in the Jewelry Box πŸ“¦.

Head Coach versus Head Coach, Best Friend vs Best Friend, Paul’s Grandson versus Paul’s Niece – In – Law ( yeah, I of made that up, what is that actually).

Β  Kris Richardson versus Ethan Richardson in any manner would be something πŸ‘€ to see.

You would need to have Nathan on hand with his First Aid kit and plenty of popcorn 🍿…

Who would win, who would you be pulling for, who is the first one to cramp up are all good questions πŸ€”?????

Stay tuned…..

Diamonds πŸ’Ž are a Girls Best Friend : 50 Shades 😎 of Baseball ⚾️ includes The Little Girl being pulled on a sled by a tractor 🚜 turned out just fine !

The phrase from a long time ago started with the Old Yankee Stadium 🏟 being called the House 🏠 that Ruth Built. Now, Babe Ruth didn’t actually ” build ” Yankee Stadium but I loved the reference so over the years, I added to it.

Welcome to Lucas Oil Stadium, the House that Peyton Manning built and Welcome to Safeco Field, the House that Ken Griffey Junior built.

Well, Joe Goddard, the man who I introduce at every home game that I announce for the West Virginia Tech Golden Bears 🐻, as the Legendary Joe Goddard actually built a Field for his High School.

Joe Goddard is a living legend and I was blessed to try to pen πŸ–Š his story

Thanks to Chris Graham at the Augusta Free Press and in the link above, the local Newspaper πŸ“° in Beckley, West Virginia, this story was read across an entire region.

Β  It has been nothing short of a privilege to soak in the thoughts of Joe Goddard over the past decade. Each Spring, Goddard and I serve as the little voices in the ear of Skipper Lawrence Nesselrodt as he leads our Golden Bears. Goddard helps with the X’s and O’s while I assist with the things that take place outside of the chalked lines.

Β  When Joe first told me the story about turning down an opportunity to continue his professional Baseball career within the San Diego Padres organization, I hung on every word.

Β  Returning to West Virginia to teach and Coach was the better fit. The problem was the School didn’t have a Baseball field at the time. Not to worry, Joe fired up his tractor and started to plow down some acreage. He had his little Girl with him at the time so Joe had to get creative while he built his field. Taking a rope, Joe tied a sled that was dragged behind him and Father πŸ‘¨ and Daughter spent quality time together ❀.

That little Girl πŸ‘§, is all growed up now and has turned out just fine. She calls Joe, Dad and her patients call her Doctor !
