Four Cavalier Tennis 🎾 players have a date 📅 for Monday at Hollins University. With any luck they will get invited back for Tuesday!

Our #1 Singles players and recent Graduates 🎓 both earned a spot in the Elite Eight.

Both Richardson and McKenzie will also compete in the Elite Eight doubles with their playing partners, Maverick Baker and Khloe Akers.

Just like Breakfast at Wimbledon !!

Sadly, the Clock ⏰ ran out on our Cavaliers Boys 👦 Tennis 🎾 team at Cave Spring High School but Ethan Richardson and Maverick Baker will continue next week in Singles and Doubles.

In an end that was fitting to how the Spring played out for both Tennis 🎾 teams, Carroll County fell 5-0 to the host Knights of Cave Spring in an abbreviated match finally played on Thursday afternoon.

#1 seed Ethan Richardson and his doubles partner, Maverick Baker will both switch over to the individual side of Regional tournament play next week.

Carroll County was going to trip up Cave Spring High in this match but when it started out on Memorial Day Monday morning 🌄 stand alone event. One that would have allowed the Cavaliers to enjoy their reward for qualifying for the post season as a team.

Sadly, the match was moved due to weather and graduation 🎓 four times before it was forced into the last window of possibility and then shortened to a first to five rapid fire contest.

While Richardson and Baker get to continue playing, it would have been nice if the rest of the team had been able to enjoy their reward for the season.

We will share the times for Richardson and Baker once they are made available.

Lord Botetourt is set to host Cave Spring in baseball ⚾️ with the winner advancing to play at Carroll County High School tomorrow evening. If they can’t get the game in tonight it will effect tomorrow.

Boys Tennis 🎾 pushed its match up from 2:30 to Noon as Carroll County tries to play at Cave Spring for the fourth straight day. The hope is to get the match in ahead of the rain 🌧.

Girls Soccer ⚽️ is set to play William Byrd at 6pm, the heavier percentage window.

Track 👣 and Field teams in Christiansburg, those folks play by a different set of rules all together. No lightning = All is Good.
