Kevin DeHaven plays Bill Murray role of Phil Connor as we enter Day #3 of Ground Hog here in Carroll County. That makes we Chris Elliott ??? or the Groundhog…

Welcome πŸ™ to Wednesday morning and once again our Day will start out with telling the Mrs the plans of the afternoon and evening. Then the weather watch comes into play along with the Plan A, Plan B and Plan C.

The Docket for Today…as of now

Items 3 and 4 will be the focus for the day. Step 1, gather up the information for the introduction process for the Junior Varsity Soccer game. Step 2, cross the Boulevard for the Ceremonial 1st Pitch ( Dr Burnette), National Anthem and Varsity Softball game versus Magna Vista.

Step 3 – head back to Tommy Thompson Field for a halftime interview with Mr Ches Helmick of Edward Jones in Independence. Mr Helmick is sponsoring the Soccer ⚽️ Night tonight as Galax comes to town.

Step 4 – look forward to Shawn Montgomery returning from the Track πŸ‘£ and Field competition. These folks have a different level in regards to playable weather conditions.

Step #5 – await a recap from Martin McKenzie and his Girls Tennis 🎾 match up in the Highlands.

Soccer ⚽️ Night πŸŒ™ Sponsor

Β  Mr DeHaven is πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ meditating in his office 🏒 as for the third consecutive day we enter into the Will We or Won’t We part of the Day. The ability to switch dates at this point is reduced to maybe one more time, if that.

Congratulations to Karmen Smith and its a safe bet that the indoor item on the list will take place !

Rick Nester, Adam Nester, Forrest Johnson and Jeremy Puckett each hope to play a Non-District contest today. Remember that when it comes to eliminating a contest on a schedule, the first to go is the Non-District ones.

Stay tuned, we will get our answers sometime this afternoon. Fingers crossed πŸ€žπŸ™.

Mother Nature πŸ‘©

Wednesday night πŸŒ™ on The Hill : Galax looks to invade Tommy Thompson Field and the Cavaliers are set to defend. The best part is Mr Ches Helmick & Edward Jones has made the Soccer Pitch Admission FREE !

Last week we were thanking πŸ™ Mr Helmick for his role in promoting our Community Soccer ⚽️ in Carroll County.

This week we are saluting Mr Helmick and his firm, Edward Jones for stepping up to make the Wednesday night doubleheader FREE of charge for all Soccer ⚽️ fans looking to attend the matches!

Following in the footsteps πŸ‘£ of OneofUs.Care, Ronnie Collins and his Realtor Company along with The Laurel Fork Coconut πŸ₯₯ Telegraph, Edward Jones is continuing the process of getting the game of Soccer out there for All to see.

Mr Helmick will be our guest during the halftime of the Varsity match to share his thoughts on the growth of the sport at the local level.

International Introduction

The Varsity teams played to a 1-1 draw earlier so its safe to say that both squads will see the rematch as unfinished business !

The Junior Varsity match went to Galax by a score of 3-0 so Jeremy Puckett and his 11 will be looking to even the score.
