While I great deal of my focus has been on when will Carroll County High School get to actually start its post season, its worth noting that the LBHS Cavaliers have to be able to get a game in before hand.
Carroll County drew the #2 seed behind Abingdon in the Region and we are hoping that a Chalk Showdown will take place down at the Falcons diamond π in June, first things first.
The teams will try again today in hopes of determining whether its the Knights or the Northern Cavaliers that will head South to Bill Worrell Field on Friday afternoon.
The Burcham Bunch
As far as Abingdon, they won’t find out their opponent until Thursday night when Pulaski County and William Byrd play the 8-9 game.
As the month of May is winding down, there was a question about whether or not we would reach our unofficial goal of 10,000 reads or not ?
When one wakes β° up each day with the goal being to lift the spirits of others, you never know what God will present as possible stories to ππ. Today is a great example as we might or may not have a Boys Soccer game to write about.
The most read story on our site this month was the effort put forth on the signing day for Karmen Smith. Her letter of intent day was separated from the other five Student Athletes this Spring and it presented an opportunity to frame a stand alone story that would be compromised of interviews with a number of people who think a great deal of this fierce competitor.
Dr Ben Tickle was part of that story as was the efforts to show appreciation for his time here on The Hill. The overload of Soccer games over the past six weeks created a boatload of time that the two of us to spend together, including his Going Away party π₯³.
Across the Boulevard at Cavalier Park we were saying Goodbye to our lone Senior, Carlie Beamer. The Softball season didn’t turn out exactly like we had hoped for but the key thing we did was survive after the loss of Assistant Coach Jeff Tobler in the off-season.
Carlie and Principal Chuck Thompson combined for a Photo π· of a Lifetime!
Kevin Lineberry and his Kiddo Kiley.
You never know how ones efforts to make the World π a Better Place is going from day to day. Nor do you know what there will be to write β about.
Six times in the past 10 months but this one was special. Because there was no HUGE story, just a slew of great topics in and around Carroll County.
Possibly the Photo π· of the Month !
Here’s hoping that Forrest Johnson and Jeremy Puckett π get to play Soccer β½οΈ later today and that Ben Tickle enjoys a smooth drive π to his new π‘ and the Harris family πͺ can keep up with all of the life changing experiences taking place one after another.
This photo π· captured the goal of the site – a Group Hug.
One never knows what tomorrow holds but if you try hard enough, something positive can be written about it !
