Memorial Day weekend carries a different meaning to so many people, especially here in Carroll County, Virginia. High School π, Flea Market, Nascar race π in Charlotte or even the unofficial beginning of the Golf β³ season. But to those who served in the Military during their lifetime, its a time for reflection about fellow soldiers who lost their lives defending our Country.
Carroll County High School Wrestling Coach West Long took the time recently to share his thoughts on the Holiday and its relevance to him.
” US ARMY
10th Mountain Division
SSG Jesse W. Ainsworth
Afghanistan KIA July 10, 2010
Left behind a wife and two daughters.”
“And a couple more for any other times you need someone deserving!
SPC Clay P. Farr
SPC Joshua U. Humble
SPC Armer N. Burkhart”
We hope that everyone π has a terrific Holiday and folks will enjoy quality time with Friends and Family. If you have a minute or two to reflect on the meaning of the day, please understand the truth about the purpose of the day.
We live in a Wonderful Country and it has remained that way because so many people laid down their lives to fight for our freedom !
God Bless America πΊπΈπβ€
