While I am going to be on the other side of our Campus assisting Martin McKenzie and Rick Nester with a Senior Day for Girls Tennis πΎ and Father’s Day π for Softball, the Main event will be taking place a couple hundred yards down The Boulevard.
Adam Nester and Casey Burcham have combined to win over 30 games and each team has only one setback.
The Nester Nine already have their Three Rivers District crownπ but Burcham’s Bunch still has Patrick County in its rear view mirror. A victory tonight gives the Cavaliers the outright regular season title but a setback would have them sharing it with the Cougars.
Back on April 17th, Carroll County scratched out a 3-2 victory over in Stuart. There is no reason to believe that the rematch won’t be another instant classic.
The Nester Nine JV Baseball βΎοΈ team will open the show in what will be their final game of the season. Not sure how many times that a pair of Rookie skippers finished their integral season with winning percentages North of 900%.
The credit is not limited to Burcham and Nester as Athletic Director Kevin DeHaven put all of the pieces together and Steve Combs is scary smart. They have an impressive support staff in place and a fan base that appreciates everything π they are getting to witness.

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is going to be a Show tonight on both ends of the Boulevard and here’s to hoping π that everyone can come out and enjoy what should be a star studded night for the Cavaliers, of all shapes and sizes.
