Earlier today we reported that Corrie Delp set a PR when she jumped 17 feet. Now, we want to acknowledge EVERY Cavalier that recorded a Personal Record today !

My unofficial count is 17 ! Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ to All

From Coach :

Res

” Completed well. Good way to end regular season headed into districts, and regions.”

To borrow from my Writing ✍ Mentor, Aaron Sorkin – “What kind of Day has it been” ?

Wednesday night πŸŒ™ is here and by my count, this will be the 15th Post πŸ“« of the Day. What does each one have in common ? They are all 100% Positive and focus on People and events taking place in Carroll County.

There were stories about Baseball, Softball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Senior Day(s,), Corrie Delp setting a new career best effort in the Long Jump. Support was shown to Patricia Lineberry with help from Beth Bouldin and we created a memorable experience for Karmen Smith and her Family πŸ‘ͺ.

Chuck Thompson, Kevin DeHaven, Ben Tickle, Adrienne Harris and others were all given the opportunity to share their Love πŸ’˜ and appreciation for a Senior who is finishing up her time on The Hill.

As we play out the water logged string of the 2024 – 2025 School 🏫 Year, one could look back at Wednesday May 14th and think πŸ€”, so that’s what the lunatic was trying hard to describe over the past four + years.

Three straight days of waiting around in hopes of getting a game or two announced / coveted, it would have been easy to find a dark cloud ☁️ to hide behind and complain about the past 72 hours. But when one is trying hard to Champion inclusion on all fronts, there is no time for pouting or complaining.

Just keep believing and trying to give HOPE to others. Today was a Great Day and that is what fuels the effort !

No advertising, no bullying and no negativity. People tell me its complicated, but I just don’t see it that way.

In closing, Corrie Delp ran down a path and jumped over 17 feet into a pit of Sand today ! Funny line of the Day came when Shawn Montgomery wrote about the beautiful day his group had in Abingdon today.

Just kidding about the Final post πŸ“« a while back as we hear from Mrs Beth Bouldin !

The CCHS Cavalier Chorus winds up the year with a night of music from the soul.

All four groups took the stage as a combined opening number, then had their own sets to showcase their dedication.

The first combined song β€œSisi Ni Moja (We Are One)” set the tone for an evening of life reflections and farewells to the graduating senior members.

Next up was the 9th Grade Choir who were joined by some extra special friends. This small group has really proven themselves this year and it’s inspiring to see them on stage.

They were followed by the Intermediate Choir, Advanced Treble Choir (whose cool number about Red Velvet Cake opens up a new perspective), and then the full Advanced Choir.

CCHS Chorus Director Patricia Lineberry recognized the VMEA Honors Choir (1) and All Virginia Honors Choir (3) attendees, Rising Star Award, Outstanding Senior Award, and all 9 Senior Cavaliers. She was then presented gifts of appreciation from the Senior class and the show closed out with the Combined Choirs singing β€œLife is Beautiful (La Vita e Bella).

Much appreciation to Mrs. Lineberry, the CCPSD, as well as CCHS Administration, and parents and families for all their dedication and support of keeping the music alive.

There are two other opportunities to see this combined group, during graduation festivities. May 18 Baccalaureate Service, and May 24 Graduation Day.
