For three seasons of Carroll County High School Boys 👦 Tennis, the duo playing #1 Doubles was Jabin Talley and Ethan Richardson. The pairing was beyond impressive during their time together, winning 33 times (66)matches, including Regional play.
Talley is one year older than Richardson so there is one year in their four year playing careers that they weren’t paired together. Talley as a Freshman and now Richardson as a Senior.
Talley had his Freshman year cut short due to Covid. When he graduated 🎓 last year as the All-Time record holder for total wins at Carroll County High School, 35 of them were recorded from the #1 Doubles slot.
This season, Richardson has moved up from the #2 Singles slot to #1 and has remained part of the #1 Doubles team. The winning has continued at a impressive pace, to the point that Richardson now has more victories in #1 Doubles than anyone else in the recorded history.
Maverick Baker and Richardson have a few more opportunities to grow the number as Carroll County winds up their season under the guidance of Christy Shupe.
