What a wild and wonderful ride as we played seven College Baseball ⚾️ games in just over 48 hours at Linda K Epling Stadium πŸŸ.

Monday was the final two games in the Baseball Bonanza hosted by our West Virginia Tech University Golden Bears 🐻.

Our goal through this process is to prove that WVU-T and Linda K Epling Stadium can and should be a major player in the World 🌎 of NAIA Baseball. Mission Accomplished by everything that I witnessed !

Fisher College Falcons and our Golden Bears 🐻 split the getaway twin bill. Fisher captured the opener 7-1 and Tech responded by taking the seventh and final game by a score of 11-5.

Final numbers :

Georgia Gwinnett 3-1

The crowd Sunday afternoon was by far the largest of the season, by a wide margin. Our Golden Bears 🐻 highlight came in the ending of a 15 game winning streak that belonged to #2 GGC.

We staged a seven game in two plus days NAIA showcase and it benefited the Schools 🏫 involved as well as the City of Beckley, West Virginia.

The nuts and bolts πŸ”©

From Coach McKenzie :

“This afternoon the Varsity Girls Tennis team faced a very talented and well coached Floyd County team. We lost 9-0, but showed improvement in a lot of areas. The main goal right now for us is the little improvements that the girls show me from week to week. One match at a time!”

Fun fact learned tonight about Boy’s Coach Christy Shupe – Coach played Tennis 🎾 for two seasons during her time on The Hill !

Both teams are set to return to action 🎬 both Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Tonight’s view is a perfect match to our OneofUs.Care logo and it means that I’m finally 🏑 after a truly long four Days…

Car πŸš— is unpacked and there are stories that need to be written and that will begin at some point, just not yet.

I can tell you that Varsity Softball won 5-1 over Galax and Varsity Boys πŸ‘¦ Tennis 🎾 fell short against an always tough Floyd County team.

West Virginia Tech University closed out our Marathon 2+ days where seven Baseball ⚾️ games were played and announced with a record of 3-2.
