Allen Worrell – Look what you did ! Helping me help him help our Student Athletes ! Set to a old Western…

While there have been a number of partnerships that I had hoped to build in Carroll County that simply didn’t materialize, I could not be happier than my dealings with my fellow Homer, Allen Worrell!

Β  The goal is to try and equally spread the joy across 12 Spring teams ( 8 Varsity and 4 Junior Varsity). Allen has free pickings to run any of our stories each week but just like every other resident of Carroll County, I have no idea what will end up in print until my newspaper gets delivered on Thursday.

The photo above is from yesterday and the front page of the Sports section includes four of our stories and it includes eight of the 12 teams!

Another reason why I am smiling πŸ˜ƒ is that the Artwork (Photos πŸ“·) come from two folks that I think the World 🌎 of. Velvet Creed Leonard captured the Softball pic and Craig Worrell did the same with the Baseball ⚾️ one.

Page two includes coverage of the four remaining teams! It’s an uphill battle in the season I call The Wild Wild West because we have a dozen teams competing and the goal is always inclusion. For me, that has to be the four JV teams as well.

Kevin DeHaven is the Sherrif in this made for TV πŸ“Ί movie πŸŽ₯. Casey Burcham is the slick rancher – Ben Cartwright of Bonanza. Rick Nester is the wise ole Banker and Adam Nester is Little Joe. Martin McKenzie is the one that always looks like he knows something we don’t.

The Ladies include Adrienne Harris, Brittany Kinney, Alexis Dalton and Christy Shupe.

Forrest Johnson is Adam Cartwright, quiet and determined and Jeremy Puckett runs the Saloon.

Off in the shadows, homeless for this Spring is Batman and Robin but Robin carries a gun πŸ”«

Dynamic Duo

There are plenty of leading Men and Women out there doing a job and at the very end of the credits, the ones that roll after you have left the theater, they list two unscripted ranch hands βœ‹. Allen Worrell and the old guy.

This all happened during a stretch where we were both facing serious health issues. Ranchers on a Dude Ranch but it’s still fun to acknowledge when we get one spot on right / write ✍.

It might not happen this picture perfect again so, Allen Worrell, take a bow !!!
