Looking back on two nights πŸŒ™ on the Pitch on The Hill begins with a quartet of hard working Coaches and a barrel full of talented Soccer ⚽️ players.

Our Seniors

Forrest Johnson, Adrienne Harris, Brittany Kinney and Jeremy Puckett all have two things in common. Their passion for Soccer ⚽️ and their desire to Coach our youth.

I spent the past 48 hours in the Press Box at Tommy Thompson Field, trying hard to help these four drum up some fans for their matches. The coming days will determine if it was just a good effort on my part or if it can lead to something more as the Goal ( Soccer term) is to move the needle for the remainder of the season.

Β  Landon Puckett looks a little different on the Pitch than he did on the Basketball πŸ€ court and Christian Hernandez is a star in the making. The Collins Brothers and Sammy ( true Soccer stars 🌟 only need one name) are more reasons for having an interest in the Varsity Boys.

Adrienne Harris is chasing a dream with her Girls and her group begins with a young Lady πŸ‘© I like to call Half Pint. 5’2 Callie Harris is playing at a higher level and she’s not alone. Protecting the net is keeper Alexis Sheffey, there’s Savannah ” Artist 🎨” Swecker causing havoc and a trio of Senior tri-captains leading by example. Harleigh Riggins, Karmen Smith and Laurel Sutphin are leaders on The Pitch.

Β  Jeremy Puckett and his Junior Varsity team plays with a purpose and just like Harris is coaching a Family πŸ‘ͺ member. Aden Puckett scored a Hat πŸ‘’ Trick last night πŸŒ™ and the Sophomore is just one of 20+ players that Coach Puckett will turn into the next group of Varsity players.

Last but not least, Brittany Kinney and the Junior Varsity Girls have moxey. The group is brand new to each other and many of them are brand new to the sport itself. Wednesday night the faced a Co-Ed George Wythe team. They stepped up to the challenge without a single ounce of backdown in them.

These four teams make up 1/3 of the 12 team Sports juggernaut at Carroll County High School 🏫. Their challenge is finding ways to get people through the gates to see just how much talent and determination that they play the game with.

I gave it my best shot ( Soccer term) to beat the drum for all four groups. Now folks have seen my Pitch (Soccer term), it will be interesting to see πŸ‘€ if we moved the needle.

Please know that I’m proud to know these four Coaches βž• Shana Parnell, Brett Petty, Zeb Hicks and anyone else who is part of the efforts.

Need to add team Photos πŸ“· for the Boys teams, soon !
