Carroll County Middle School Vanquish PCMS Lady Cougars In High-Scoring Affair By GameChanger Media Bats were blistered as Carroll County Middle School bested PCMS Lady Cougars 12-9 on Tuesday. Carroll County Middle School collected 12 hits, while PCMS Lady Cougars had 10. PCMS Lady Cougars opened the scoring in the first after Olivia C grounded out, scoring one run. Carroll County Middle School captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when Laken L tripled, scoring one run, Ashlynn S doubled, scoring one run, and Milli P singled, scoring two runs. Carroll County Middle School added two runs in the third after Morgan O singled down the right field line following a 6-pitch at-bat. PCMS Lady Cougars scored five runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. An error scored one run, Olivia C singled, scoring one run, Sophia E singled, scoring one run, and Lena H drew a walk, scoring one run. Maeli P stepped in the circle first for Carroll County Middle School. The hurler allowed 10 hits and nine runs (four earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking five. Makenzie C stepped in the circle first for PCMS Lady Cougars. The starter gave up 12 hits and 12 runs (11 earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking seven. Morgan O appeared in relief for Carroll County Middle School. Carroll County Middle School collected 12 hits in the game. Morgan O led Carroll County Middle School with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Ashlynn S, Kate H, and Morgan O each collected two hits for Carroll County Middle School. Carroll County Middle School had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Briley M and Laken L led the team with two walks each. Kate H, Briley M, Mckaylee M, Jenna B, and Laken L each stole multiple bases for Carroll County Middle School. Carroll County Middle School stole 15 bases in the game. PCMS Lady Cougars collected 10 hits in the game. Olivia C provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led PCMS Lady Cougars with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 3-for-4 on the day. 8th grade baseball won 5-4 in 7 over Pulaski. The middle school cavaliers score 3 in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead. They held off a bases loaded top of the 7th to win.
