ACC Karma is a real thing, just as the Houston Cougars as Florida cuts down the nets for a third time in San Antonio !

Houston pulled off an All-Time comeback in the second National Semi-final, handing a loss to Duke University that the Blue Devils will wear for a long, long time.

The Cougars Head Coach felt a need to rub salt πŸ§‚into the open wound by taking two shots at Duke, one at Coach, one at team and then a third shot at the Atlantic Coast Conference. No hiding from the breakdown from Duke but it seemed odd to me that Sampson chose to call the ACC the Toy Poodle League.

Coach

Fast Forward 48 hours and we find Houston with a 12 point second half lead(16:24) against the Florida Gators. Duke’s lead was 14 against Houston so the numbers were comparable. Houston had plenty of time at the end of game to either go for tie or the win but somehow managed to never get a shot off.

Enter Coach Golden holding the πŸŽ€πŸŽ™πŸŽ€ as Sampson had done 48 hours earlier and the 39 year old quickly praised the effort of his team, without taking a shot at Houston.

Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ to the S.E.C  and to the Florida Gators. The final two possessions for the Cougars ended without a shot being taken. Kudos to the winners πŸ†and something to think about for Houston.

Gators get #3
Huskies get #12

The last time that this level of Karma from the ACC was on display took place last fall. Florida State University decided to sue their way out of the league but they failed and then proceeded to post a 2-10 mark in Football 🏈🏈🏈. The victories came against Cal and Charleston Southern .

While our beloved league has taken it on the chin here as of late, there’s still some spunk left in the old gal. If you question that at all, just ask Kelvin Sampson or Seminole Football.

Almost felt sad for the 69 year old Sampson last night πŸŒ™ as he stood there with a frozen look on his face as his team could not get a shot off in its final three possessions. Almost, but no, not really.

The moral of the story is this, when with grace and dignity. Own your loses and handle them with Class. Then don’t forget that the ACC, while its wounded, still has Karma on its side.

Chris Graham has an interesting article about Kyle Guy not staying on with the new staff at UVA. Let’s not forget that Guy was the last ACC player to hold the National Championship trophy πŸ†back in 2019. Maybe Odom should take note of Karma.
