Four was the Magic number for Carroll County Girls Soccer ⚽️ Wednesday night πŸŒ™ in The Highlands !

Alleghany High School 🏫 was game four on the schedule for Carroll County Girls Soccer and because of upgrades taking place at Tommy Thompson Field, its was the fourth straight road game for the Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers.

The number four doesn’t stop there as the final score in the match Wednesday night was 4-0. Head Coach Adrienne Harris earned her fourth straight victory, her Keeper recorded her fourth straight shutout and her younger Sister found the back of the net for the fourth straight match. Four players joined Callie Harris in the scoring column.

Ahliyah Riffey found Harris with a pass early in the contest, giving Carroll County a 1-0 lead. Savannah Swecker pushed the lead to 2-0 just before the halftime break with the assist going to Yeili Urbina.

Carroll County seemed to turn up the heat after the break.

” First half we started off a little slow but then after the halftime talk the team really turned up the intensity!,” said Coach Harris. ” The girls did a great job of connecting passes and moving the ball in the second half. We were getting lots of opportunities for shots! The girls have already grown as a team so much since the beginning. I am excited to see us continue to grow throughout the rest!!”

The younger Harris pushed the lead to 3-0 with an unassisted goal, her ninth on the season and later in the second half the Junior proved its a fun to give the pass as it is to receive it. Karmen Smith took the pass from Harris and scored the fourth and final goal of the match.

The defensive side of the Pitch has now pushed their scoreless streak to 320 minutes on the season. Goal keeper Alexis Sheffey and her fellow Cavaliers continued to prevent the first goal allowed on the season.

Carroll County returns to play next Monday when they travel to Glenvar to face the two time defending State Champion, Highlanders.
