Boys πŸ‘¦ Tennis 🎾 falls to Alleghany 7-2 on Wednesday evening with Paul Marshall going the distance for his W and Ethan Richardson coasted from the #1 spot.

Carroll County High School Boys Tennis fell to 2-1 on the season as the host Cougars proved to be too much on Wednesday evening. The final score was 7-2 with Ethan Richardson winning his third straight match 8-2 and Paul Marshall needed Overtime to post his victory.

The correct term is Tie Breaker and at the High School level a match goes on until a player or players (Doubles) wins eight games. But you have to win by a margin of two, so if a match reaches 8-8 you get bonus tennis. Marshall prevailed 7-3 in the tiebreaker.

Marshall and Garrison Wheatley were to closest of the three Cavalier doubles teams to break through, falling just short by a score of 8-6.
