6:00 First Touch for Varsity Soccer ⚽️

There was a shot at a daily double when the Soccer was slated for 7pm but with the start time now 6pm, we will lean on Marion Harris to keep us in the know about Game 2 in the season for the program.

Here, its Game 3 for Softball overall and Game 3 on the road. The team was set to play Galax at home on Wednesday but that contest has been pushed back to next month. The team will now have its home opener on Friday at Cavalier Park.

4:36 – The Warriors are taking infield practice now and everything appears to be on schedule πŸ“….

The JV Softball team is playing at home tonight and Boys πŸ‘¦ Varsity Soccer ⚽️ is playing up in Bluefield versus Graham as well. We would welcome πŸ™ updates from either place if someone wants to jump in.

Will sign back in at 5pm and encourage folks to check back in…

Welcome πŸ™ to Monday of a very busy week ! Today opens with a bunch of Cavaliers heading across Lover’s Leap for contests.

Girls πŸ‘§ Soccer ⚽️ has been moved from a double header to Varsity only and the start time has moved from 7pm to 6pm at Martinsville High School 🏫.

Varsity Softball is crossing over as well for a 5pm tilt at Magna Vista High School as we play on the road for the third straight game to open the season.

Junior Varsity Softball will be playing at Cavalier Park as they host Magna Vista.

Varsity Boys πŸ‘¦ Soccer ⚽️ shows a 6pm Varsity only game at East River Soccer Complex. The opponent is Graham High School and their JV team is Co-Ed so I believe that’s the reason for this one being just the Varsity tonight.

We started at six, appear to be down to four and we still have the weather to fend with. Hopefully it will start to dry up  here soon and our Cavaliers will get to take to the pitch and diamond πŸ’Ž.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, the Cavs slate is currently blank and West Virginia Tech University has moved their home game from Tuesday to Wednesday, due to weather.

Three more ACC Women’s Basketball πŸ€ teams will look to join Duke University and Notre Dame in the Sweet 16. Both NC State and North Carolina get to play at home ( 🐺🦊🐺🦊🐺 are currently up 28 against Michigan State) while Florida State University plays at LSU

Reynolds Coliseum

Back amongst our Cows πŸ„ and we have photos πŸ“· from the Richardson and the Smoot families and two of our future Cavaliers as we continue πŸ’™ to show Love to our Hoops !

Fourth Grade Champions !!!
Fifth Grade Champions !!!

Our future is so bright that we might need shades 😎!!!

Now, let’s take a look see πŸ‘€ at what Bryce Smoot and Ethan Richardson were up to today over at University of Virginia – Wise.

Both of our Seniors were invited to participate in the All-Star game there today !

Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ to both players and their families !

This coming Sunday, Head Coach Anthony Barnes and his staff will host their Annual Banquet. This will give the recently finished Cavaliers once more opportunity to share the room as a team.

Let’s watch some Duke University Basketball πŸ€, Women’s first ! Bring on the OU Ducks… Two onto the Sweet 16 !!!

Noon Tip Time for the Blue Devils split double header. Ladies and Kara Lawson are ready to host the #10 seed Oregon Ducks after they used overtime to sneak by #7 Vanderbilt on Friday night πŸŒ™.

Duke played 40 minutes of suffocating defense Friday while holding Lehigh to just 25 points in their first round victory. That tied the second fewest points ever allowed in a Tournament game and Southern California matched it yesterday afternoon by holding UNC-G to the same total.

Duke is one of six ACC teams that will look to play in the Sweet 16 next weekend. Here’s to pulling for all six!

Let’s Dance πŸ’ƒ

To honor Mr Bill Gallimore, let’s see πŸ‘€ about capturing the opening jump ball.

Bill would be Proud !

Lin’s version

1st Media TO – Ducks 7-2 @ 4:42 (1).

End of 1st – Oregon 12, Duke 9

Oregon is led by a 6’8 Canadian

Ducks Big is BIG

2nd quarter Media TO – 4:50, Oregon 22-15 as Ducks are winning the battle on both ends of the court so far.

Duke cuts βœ‚οΈ a nine point deficit down to five at the break, 28-23. Oregon is shooting 50% from the floor while Duke is at 36%.

Blue Devils look great when attacking the basket 🧺 but the jump shots have been off target.

15:00 on the Clock ⏰ for intermission.

Duke’s talented Canadian Freshman Toby Fournier is not in the building, to the best of my knowledge. The 6’2 played well on Friday night πŸŒ™, best guess is that she is ill .

Duke is missing her for sure and her 441 points scored, but there’s 20 minutes left to play.

_____________________________________

Media TO – 4:40 (3), Duke leads 36-29 after a 13-1 start to the quarter. Looks like the UNC third quarter yesterday when the Lady Heels πŸ‘  went 30-9 on the Beavers.

Deja Kelly has dropped nine quick points for Oregon, to go with her nine from the first half. Ducks within 45-40 after being behind by 10.

Under 4:00 at 3:57 – Duke 33-27 after a 10-0 run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ.
