Nothing but Love 💘 for the Lady 👩 Heels 👠 on a Sunny Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill ➕ WVU-T Baseball ⚾️ in Kokomo, Indiana

Even when you prefer a darker shade of Blue, it shouldn’t prevent you from cheering on the Lady Tar Heels when given an opportunity to do so.

The last time I watched a game inside of Carmichael Arena a skinny kid from Wilmington, North Carolina was playing in his freshman Blue – White game. That means I’m pretty old and today I feel even older than old.

Columbia University and West Virginia University played the opener and the Ivy League Lions played the second half at 32-30. Two guards for WVU combined for over 50 points in leading the Mountaineers to victory.

8:00 away from Oregon State at North Carolina in the #14 vs #3 contest.

What a 3rd quarter!

William & Mary notch school’s 1st NCAA tourney victory in First Four and we Celebrate with a proud Alum !

    There’s finally NCAA Tournament joy for the folks in Williamsburg ! Our long time friend, Bill “Pappy ” Meade is a proud graduate 🎓 of W & M and we are Happy for Pappy as the school 🏫 waited over 75 years to earn a bid to either the Men’s or Women’s Basketball 🏀 tournament.

Not only did they finally earn a Bid, they won the #16 play in game, their fifth straight victory !

Welcome to Saturday morning 🌄, where we have Boys & Girls Track & Field ➕ North Carolina Tar Heels Women’s Basketball 🏀 ➕ Golden Bears 🐻 Baseball ⚾️ to watch out for.

Head Coach Shawn Montgomery will take his troops over to Virginia High School 🏫 today for their first meet of the season. We look forward to seeing all of the results later on !

Today is Day 2 for the Women and Day 3 for the Men. While it would be easy to watch TV games, we will head down the road to Chapel Hill for the Tar Heels double header. The games are set to begin at 2:00 pm.

Day Two on the Men’s side had only a 9,10 & a 12 score so called upsets as the Top 16 goes chalk into the Round of 32.

Day 1 had a 9,10,11 and 12 advance but its difficult to call a 9 over an 8 an upset.

25-7 is the two day tally and each of the Top 16 seeds are still in place. The very definition of Chalk.

The only true glaring issue is that for the first time in 50 years, the Atlantic Coast Conference is already down to just one team after Clemson (5), Louisville (8) and North Carolina (11) have each been eliminated.

The S.E.C went 8-6 with their record 14 teams in the tournament. Ole Miss took care of UNC in the only head to head match-up.

2-3 versus 8-6 is only separated by 1.5 games but 8-1 looks pretty bleak.

Big 10 only received 8 bids but they set a new record with 8-0 !
