In an attempt to limit my personal words tonight about Jeff and Tammy, I reflect back on what we tried to capture as part of our tribute to the Husband who didn’t have the opportunity to say Goodbye to his lifelong bride.
Β We are never guaranteed tomorrow so make sure that you find the time to say I Love You π today.
As I have said numerous times since his passing, my fondest memory of Jeff Tobler is the role played as Husband to Tammy. It’s a throwback story about Love, Respect and Protection of your spouse.
Tonight we celebrate Jeff and Tammy β their family πͺ. We will here from Kayla Nester, Carlie Beamer and Principal Chuck Thompson amongst others.
We will get started shortly after the end of the Softball game. (Roughly 15 minutes).
Five ball games βΎοΈ and one very special Ceremony is whats on the agenda π for the rest of Friday. Let’s take a quick look at them, in order of start time.
2:30 (ESPN) – Blue Devils and Tar Heels women down in Alabama for a spot in the Elite Eight. NC State plays LSU at 7:30pm with the same thing on the line. The fourth ACC Women’s team still dancing π plays at 1pm Saturday as Notre Dame faces TCU (each is a 2 versus 3)
Heels race out to an 11-0 lead to start the game. Heels π 13-9 after 1st quarter. Time to head to the ballpark.
3:00 (Beckley, WV)- First Pitch in the opening game of a three game set for our Golden Bears π» versus Shawnee State. We will be up there to take care of the double header Saturday at Noon but they will be flying solo today.
5:00 – (Bassett) – Adam Nester and his high flying Cavaliers will put their 3-0 mark on the line versus the Bassett Bengals in a JV Baseball βΎοΈ game. The Cavaliers have yet to surrender a run πββοΈ so far this season. The JV Softball team played their game a day early and picked up their second victory last night π.
5:00 (The Hill) – Head Coach Casey Burcham and his 2-1 squad will look to build momentum in a contest with the same Bassett Bengals. The team was red hot last time out versus Galax and will look to build on it.
Approximately***** 7:00 (The Hill) Roughly 15 minutes from the end of the Softball game, we will begin a four part tribute to our Late Jeff Tobler. Tobes, as he was known to many, will be acknowledged in a number of ways on Jeff Tobler Night π at Cavalier Park.
The festivities will begin early as the Tobler family πͺ will be throwing out our ceremonial First Pitch before the start of the game
