Carroll County’s Lovable SRO Chris Mabry ❀ had himself a Day on Tuesday and we noticed !

And by Night πŸŒ™

In addition to his day to day responsibilities, Officer Chris Mabry took the time to brighten the day for others, not once but twice on Tuesday.

At 2pm, Mabry climbed into his patrol πŸš“ car and escorted West Long, Darrell Aruanno and their Wrestlers out of town.

Four hours later Mabry lit up the Gymnasium by singing the National Anthem !

We see πŸ‘€ you Chris Mabry and we love πŸ’˜ what you do for our School 🏫 and Community !

Wrestling Coach West Long and our Four fearless Lady πŸ‘© Cavs are in the Arena now…Running Post πŸ“«

See You tomorrow morning !!!!

Welcome πŸ™ to Wednesday Morning πŸŒ„ as there is a smell of Sweetness (16) in the Cavalier Air

Our Gymnasium on The Hill closed its doors πŸšͺ last night πŸŒ™ in grand fashion as the Boys Basketball team earned a victory over Lord Botetourt, 81-64. The latest “W” pushed Head Coach Anthony Barnes and his Cavaliers into the High School 🏫 version of the Sweet 16!

Year five of the Barnes – Richardson era has been extended to Friday night at Pulaski County High School. Next up is a rematch with Cave Spring as the two teams met back on December 29th with CCHS winning 65-50 at Floyd County High School.

Β  The team will continue to focus on the next game as they should but the fan base should enjoy the sweet smell of success for the next 60 hours or so.

Making the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in over a decade should be the talk of the town between now and Friday night. The first thing we need to do is see who else earned their ticket 🎟 to this invitation only affair.

Region 3B has already played its Semi-final games with the Top 2 advancing after hanging on in tough games.

Meridian 59, Skyline 53

William Monroe 46, Fauquier 43

Β  So, we are actually one of the Final 14 now but who’s counting.

In Class 3A play Lake Taylor, Heritage, Hopewell and New Kent comprise the quartet.

In our Class 3D we have 1 2,3 & 5 still alive as Hidden Valley edged host William Byrd 52-48 and Northside took care of Tunstall 80-62.

Cave Spring booked the rematch by defeating Abingdon 56-48 and of course we know that Carroll County won the Battle of the Cavaliers with Lord Botetourt 81-64.

Northside versus Hidden Valley will tip at 6:00 pm and Carroll County versus Cave Spring will follow 20 minutes from the final horn of game one.

Β  The math says one more Win and we have a date at State (March 4th) but everyone not practicing in the Gym today after school, let’s enjoy the Morning and the Afternoon and the Evening after the game.

Β  If you listen closely you can almost hear the chant, Look What We Did, Look What We Did !!!!!!!!!!!

Coach Barnes and his staff will continue to grind in prep for Friday night but the rest of us should just enjoy the moment that the Cavalier Express pulled out of the station πŸš‰ for the final time in this Last Dance πŸ’ƒ season !!!

Elijah Cox, the first Anthony Barnes coached Cavalier to play in College was in the House 🏠 Tuesday night πŸŒ™, taking in the Home finale…

Elijah Cox, pictured here with Randolph teammate Maurice Davis, making the rounds after his former mates took care of business on Tuesday night.

Cox and the Wildcats just finished up their regular season and it will be interesting to see which path the Sophomore follows next.

Always great to see Mr Cox and that smile of his !
