6:30 am weigh ins…..

Linda is now on her way to Chicago and then on to El Paso, Texas and St.Louis, Missouri before returning home the night before our Banquet. After 40 years I appreciate π the fact that I began to miss her before she was gone.
The reason for it being ROA this morning for her flight βοΈ was the next stop was to be Beckley for our midweek Baseball βΎοΈ game versus Kentucky Christian βοΈ University.
” Game with Kentucky Christian is postponed-will be made up at a later dateβ¦
β’weekend games with Point Park & Bluefield St. are being evaluated. Updated information will be available on Wednesday”
We are now 0 for 5 in regards to our home games being played as originally planned but that’s life in the NAIA.

Emory & Henry Women’s LaCrosse held their Media Day and here are the pics from our Natalie Harris. Incredibly impressed by the fact the Marion and Sheila’s Middle Kiddo (Jan Brady) went out and taught herself the sport this year and is now playing Division 2 in the NCAA for the Wasps!

Tonight at 5:30 on The Hill, Jason Stockner and Ryan Largen will lead their team out for the last home game this team will play together.
These 15 young Cavaliers are made up ofΒ 10 Sophomores, 3 Freshman and 2 8th graders. Varsity Coach Anthony Barnes is set to have six returning Seniors next season, baring Transfer portal and N.I.L issues, will only have six roster spots available.
So tonight, its Sophomore Night, if you will. Ten Cavaliers will conclude their Junior Varsity playing careers in front of the Cavalier Nation.

To make it even more fun, I invite any Parent who wants to tell me which Cartoon Character that their Son reminds them of, please do so. The first 24 hours after my treatment on my legs π¦΅is the toughest so I will be easy to spot as I hobble around with my cane.
The Road Runner, Pink Panther, Daffy Duck, Buggs Bunny π°, Spider-Man, Fred Flintstone, George Jetson are some of the older ones that come to mind.
Once the Junior Varsity game is completed, we hope everyone will stick around and cheer on the Varsity team. It’s my understanding that they’re doing okay this year as well. Probably has something to do with Stockner helping Coach them after his game……
Quick recap – Yes to Airport Goodbyes, No to College Baseball, Yes to Natalie Harris being cool, Big YES to Sophomore Night and I guess to Varsity Boys Basketball π΄.
Congratulations π to Anthony Barnes and Kris Richardson for running πββοΈ it back as the Cool π Kids say, by winning a second straight Three Rivers District Championship !!!

Trying to pick one Photo π· from the day would be tough because so much happened along the way. It’s about to flip to Tuesday and soon it will be time to drive π Lin over to the Airport for her business trip to El Paso. Going to miss her over the next 12 days but when work calls π.
