Junior Varsity Boys πŸ‘¦ Basketball πŸ€ go all King Arthur 🀴on the Knights of Roundball, win 59-31!

Carroll County JV   23  6  16  14 – 59

James River JV         3   14  0  14 – 31

Buchanan – Carroll County JV Basketball πŸ€ returned to action 🎬 Thursday night πŸŒ™ and since they were playing the Knights it seemed a natural leap to jump to the times of King Arthur in describing the latest victory.

Camelot replaces Buchanan as the location and Jason Stockner gets cast as King Arthur 🀴.

” Very good win tonight. Everyone contributed to our success. We jumped out early in the first quarter but James River cut our lead to 12 by halftime. We talked about playing with more intensity on the defensive end and making the extra pass on offense.

We definitely turned it up in the third and held them scoreless in the third! Offensively we tend to force some shots so we’ll work to improve in that area. Nice win overall so the guys can celebrate by going back to school tomorrow after a few days off. Hopefully everyone gets their power back on soon. Go CAVS!.”

Protect the Queen πŸ‘Έ would have been the theme in the third quarter as our Cavaliers played a perfect frame, outscoring the other Knights 16-0. Five different players scored in the 3rd and everyone pitched in on the defensive end.

Colton Gravley as Sir Galahad, led the offense with 13 points βž• Blake Reed ( Sir Lancelot ) dropped 12 points beginning with the first arrow 🏹 of the evening.

Tristan ( Dane Leonard ) was still without his armor as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

The troops rallied around Tristan as 10 Cavaliers landed a shot during an a jousting in which everyone carrying a shield πŸ›‘ recorded minutes of game time.

CCHS raced out to a 23-3 lead after the opening 7:00 minutes, erasing any doubt of the final outcome. As King 🀴 Arthur described, James River rallied in the second quarter before his Knights took care of business.

Three Cavaliers netted six points each and we need to continue the process.

Will Motley as Sir Ector, Chanson Rakes as Sir Bedivere and Jayden Jones as Sir Gawain !

The Cavaliers still hope to play two more times this season, once at Radford and home 🏑 to Alleghany.

Please know that no Knights were injured in this Celebration !
