My beloved Duke University Football team has finally made it back to a warm weather ” Big Boy ” Bowl 🥣 game!!! The only thing is that the Ole Miss team believes that they belonged in the 12 team playoff.
I can already here the chant of our 9-3 is bigger than your 9-3. Reality is that the Rebels would be correct. We made it to one of the Big 3 (Pop Tart, Holiday & Gator) because the ACC was just a bit down this year. While we did have 13 of the 17 teams qualify for the post season, the league currently sits at 2-9 with Duke and Virginia Tech both underdogs tonight and tomorrow.
Manny Diaz managed to lead us to an amazing 9 win season which included a Tar Heel State sweep of UNC, NCSU and Wake Forest. But Lane Kiffin got his 9 wins in the S.E.C. The good news is that Arch Manning just transferred in so we dodge that bullet.
Enjoy the moment on the Big Stage will be the motto today !
Steps 🚶♂️ were taken in Texas Airport (9K), Charlotte Airport (3K), South Carolina (3K), Greensboro Airport (19K), Atlanta Airport (15K) and finally the Jacksonville, Florida Airport (2K).
8.5 hours of movement wrapped around 3 flights ✈️.
Pretty sure this will be my final time chasing down 50,000 so it was satisfying to eek across the finish line moments before Midnight.
Couple of other quick notes – it would appear that the Wrestling match that was listed as a Home 🏡 match will not take place but there will be 👧 Wrestling on the road instead.

If anyone is wondering what would lead a 60 something year old to commit the rest of his life to promoting Kindness and Faith, its because the World 🌎 is full of Hate. I am not sure that I’m going to win the battle but I know that I’m playing on the correct team.

Wake ⏰ up at 3am in Houston, Texas and have taken the Shuttle from the Hotel 🏨 to the Airport known as IAH, named in honor of President Bush.
Now its a Non-stop ✋ Flight ✈️ back to Charlotte on American Airlines. Enjoying having status with an Airline for the first time in my life.
Have never paid to fly First Class so its way cool when its provided for FREE. Quite the upgrade after flying out here on Frontier Airlines.
After getting to Charlotte, Linda will hang around CLT for a couple of hours and then fly onto Jacksonville, Florida. I envy her and her direct flight ✈️.
The next 14 hours for me will be a bit more complicated. First, its drive the Truck up to Greensboro Airport (GSO) and park it so that its waiting when we return from the Bahamas 🇧🇸 next Wednesday night.
Five hours until my Delta flight ✈️ heads out for Atlanta (ATL) and then four hours until the connection down to JAX. 20 hours start to finish and 14 without my Booogz.
If there is a Bright Side its the potential for a Mega Step 🚶♂️ Day. There was to be 30,000+ steps to be found, if no other reason than to cancel out the poor Food choices…..

If this was a Basketball 🏀 game it would be referred to as Padding Ones Stats. In the chase to 1 Million Steps 🚶♂️ one side Challenge is how many different Countries and 🇺🇲 States can be squeezed in.
The I-77 South Carolina border is just six miles in the wrong direction so it was a No Brainer to add it to the total !!
