Last Night πŸŒ™ over in Floyd the Buffalo πŸƒ ended a rare two game skid by limiting the Bobcats to just 30 points

Carroll County High School handed Floyd County their first district loss of the season last week (only second loss overall) and then Glenvar snuck in with a narrow victory in the next game.

Coach Harmon and his team righted the ship 🚒 in a big way Tuesday night vs Radford High.

Β  This is of extra interest to the Cavalier fans as we will spend the next 48 hours squaring off with the Bobcats. Wednesday night it will be the Ladies heading up and over with the Boys πŸ‘¦ playing host on The Hill Thursday night.

Β  The Junior Varsity Girls will kick things off in Game 1 of 4 and they will do so on a one game winning streak. The Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers tripped up Alleghany this past Saturday afternoon and will be looking to build on the momentum in Radford.

Β  Howard Mayo and Kayla Nester continue their efforts with the Girls Varsity team in the night cap later today. The team continues to work on their game and at roughly 7pm they will have their next opportunity.

Β  Thursday night πŸŒ™ will have Jason Stockner and Ryan Largen trying to improve on their 8-3 start. Two of the three setbacks were against Pulaski County early on and the team has been on fire πŸ”₯ since then. They also have two new faces on the team now that the Middle School 🏫 season is over. Just another reason to check them out !

Β  Game 4 of 4 will have Anthony Barnes and Kris Richardson welcoming the Bobcats as the two teams meet for the second time this season. They first met up at Fort Chiswell during the Christmas πŸŽ„ Tournament and the Bobcats pushed Carroll County to the edge that night before the Cavaliers held on for the victory.

Β  Carroll County is now 12-0 and 2-0 in the Three Rivers District. Coach Barnes is well aware of the fact that the ZERO at the end of the record puts a target on his teams back. It should be a great match-up with the size and athleticism of the Bobcats going head to head against the court savy and hard nosed defense.

Β  Thursday night πŸŒ™ will be a little extra fun for me as Mr DeHaven has asked me to fill in for Christy with the πŸŽ€πŸŽ™πŸŽ€.

Β  It’s also worth noting that our Swim πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ teams competed last night up in Salem and I will happily share those results if Shannon Dalton gets them to me.

Please also remember that our MACC teams will be in action 🎬 and our Wrestlers will be heading over to Abingdon.

Β  It’s currently 7Β° here in downtown Olde Mill so I will close with Stay Warm and keep our VDOT workers in mind as they continue to go around the Clock ⏰ to make our frozen roads as safe as possible.

One of those dedicated workers even took the time to try and help an elderly person that is mechanically challenged ignite his Propane Fire πŸ”₯ Place. Next level dedication πŸ‘.

Have yourself a Blessed Day and if you are heading up Highway 100 later, Godspeed on your journey πŸ™
