Coaches for the 2024-2025 JV Lady πŸ‘© Cavaliers

Hailie Cushman and her two Assistants, Chenoa Payne βž• Brittany Lineberry are learning and leading on the fly in their initial season of Junior Varsity Basketball πŸ€.

Tuesday night the trio led their Lady Cavaliers against our neighbors to the East, Floyd County High School 🏫.

The eight young ladies playing this year are :

#10 – Ashton Rodrigue

#11 – Madison Adkins

#14 – Bree Campbell

#20 – Aaliyah Hampton

#22 – Madison Fain

#23 – Maggie Carico

#32 – Lily Goad

#44 – Hayden Heflin

Let’s start out by congratulating the players on earning a spot on this year’s roster and showing gratitude πŸ™ to the Ladies giving up their time to Coach them!

The Lady Cavaliers struggled out of the gate, falling behind 11-1 at the end of the first quarter. Fain put the team on the board with a free throw and Rodrigue scored the initial basket 🧺 late in the second quarter.

Trailing the πŸƒ 25-3 at the break, CCHS continued to play hard on both ends of the court. Their efforts led to a 20-12 deficit over the second half.

Six of the eight players dented the scorebook with a trio leading the way with three points each. Adkins, Hampton and Fain were joined by another trio with two points each in Campbell, Heflin and Rodrigue.

The team was one of many at Carroll County High School 🏫 that welcomed the opportunity to return to the court after Mother Nature had put the schedules on Ice 🧊.

Big fans of the folks involved with this effort πŸ‘ and Welcome any and all positive feedback from All involved.

Tuesday January 14th, will today be the Day ?

Β Β Β  Both of our Swimming πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ teams will look to head to Roanoke today for a meet at Hollins University while both of the Girls πŸ‘§ Basketball πŸ€ teams hope to be in action 🎬 on The Hill.

It’s been a minute since any Hoops have been played by any of the four teams but everyone understands that the thought process has to be Safety First when it comes to transportation.
